Jaunes fragile mental and emotional state, is likely what is effecting his aura in such a way. His aura is technically his soul. So it makes sense. His mental and emotional state will have a effect on it.

But that's just what I think.

While the idea for this story is good, the delivery leaves much to be desired. You don’t do a very good job developing it, nor the themes of it. Bullying, Suicide, Betrayal and Forgiveness, PTSD. You go from one extreme to the next without actually building up to them. You just jump right into the deep end and hope the story holds. It’s off putting and ruins the flow of things. Making the story feel rushed and a cluttered mess. Fir Jaune’s suicide you should have gone into more detail on his abuse and maybe had it last longer. From what I remember you didn’t really have much happen to him yet his reactions are so extreme that it’s borderline ridiculous. I’m not saying that it’s not possible, but these are people that are literally fighting against soulless monstrosities. They are made of harder stuff than what you’re giving them credit for. Even Jaune. Heck ESPECIALLY Jaune. Next is the reasoning. I can see both sides for both, but Blake’s was the flimsiest exude I’ve ever seen. Also, do the or do they not know that Blake is a former Terrorist yet? That would play a big hand in how they should have reacted as well. Honestly, I feel like you should have had Blake be the only one willing to stand by him or at least be neutral enough to step in when her team went too far. I’m not even going into the PTSD or anything cause I feel like this review is long enough as is. Please do NOT try to call me out for “flaming” or “hating” your story. This is my opinion and a bit of constructive criticism. I doubt you will or could, givin the amount of time it too you to get as far as you have with this story, go back and change it. This is just something to think about and consider should you writing anything similar in the future.

PLEASE continue, mate! I’d like another 2-3 chapters pushed in by the 15th!
