I know I'm a little late to review, but...

This story is amazing! Truly Fantastic!

Wow, this is an interesting and disturbing fic! I like what you did, in having Book seek out Wash, and find Mal instead, and then (completely in character) take the bull by the horns, and probe into Mal's state of mind. At which point the disturbance goes both ways. Very well done.

I like this, if that's even the right word to use. It's so very dark but without being melodramatic - although I love that almost maniacal feeling Mal has when he's imitating Niska. Very creepifyin', as Jayne might say.

Oh, *wow*. I just love this, from Mal's insight into Wash keeping Zoe's darkness at bay, and how she needs him to be silly and not all 'growed up', and then Mal telling Book about his 'resurrection'...disturbing, but I can see Mal doing it.

this has to be one of my favourite ff lines of all time. It pretty much sums up Mal completely. Plus, it's pretty damn funny.

I like this story. It's a good little snap shot, just a moment in time. It's real, and it makes sense, and thank you for showing it to me.

Good lord. You really are tremendously good at this, aren't you? Excellent voices and entirely convincing psychologically. Thought provoking. Crisp, lucid prose.

This is a wonderful story. Of course Book would go to Mal after this ep, and of course Mal would throw it back in his face. This hurts all the more because of its restraint.

Another excellent short story from a most reliable author! Some unsettling but entirely believable insights there. It's good to have an occasional look at the darkness in Mal.
