Hello, I created an account just to leave a review and say thank you meggz0rz for writing this! I love this story and admire your writing. I cannot remember what I was searching for but I found chapter 1 on AO3 and then the rest here. Read the whole thing in one night a bit earlier during quarantine. I sincerely enjoyed how you've played with the world while maintaining the traits and personalities of each of the characters. It's both uniquely your own and true to the source. You kept me on the edge of my seat at the end of every chapter. Love the characterization, the well-paced action scenes, and I cannot wait to learn how it continues! Thanks so so much.

This is turning out really well! It took me a while to fully get into it, personally, but I think that's just because it caught my attention more and more once the world expanded beyond just Okada-Inuyasha and Kagome.
I hope Miroku is doing okay with Shippou!
Ayame and Kouga are in a curious situation as well.
Interested to see how that turns out - and what else the miko might reveal! I've enjoyed that particular twist on spiritual/healing powers, even if I do question whether they're really as bad as the shogun made them sound. It's an interesting contrast to the idea of them being the opposite of youkai powers.
I do love the multitude of plotlines going on at the same time, for the variety. Excited to see what happens next!

Oh my good lord. I just spent the last three days pounding through this story. Absolutely incredible writing. I'm so glad I found this. You sure know how to put someone through a rollercoaster of emotions. Cannot wait for the next chapter!

UGHHHHH MEG! Giiiiiiiirl you have absolutely ruined fanfiction for me.

I did nothing but eat, sleep and read your story for 3 days in a row. I felt giddy, embarrassed, excited, gut wrenchingly DEPRESSED and absolutely vindicated throughout that time and now, no other fanfiction can compare.

Absolutely none, trust me. I've scouraged the entire site looking for any other story that could succeed yours and I feel nothing but disappointment.

The dynamic and personality choices for Inuyasha and Kagome were just ... ah *chef's kiss* let me tell ya.
I never felt like an argument was too much or the romance scenes too fluffy or rushed.

Kagome was the perfect blend of ferocity, strength, and capability mixed with vulnerability, naivety, and foolishness. Her actions had purpose and her motives were clear and validated. Its like...you're the real Santa and knew exactly what I wanted for xmas. *sniff* chucks you shouldnt have. And ugh...Inuyasha's portrayal was...Hands Down...THE best...I've seen thus far. Anywhere! Hes strong, mysterious, authoritative, possessive, protective, impassioned, romantic...in all the right ways! I mean I'm not gonna say I felt some type of way about him but DAMN girl. You know i ain't ever gonna find that kind of love in real life, y u do dis?

I usually lose interest in side characters but I found myself becoming attached to Miroku and Sango, even Kouga and Ayame were fascinating to read about. Their roles in the story had impact and their side plots were sweet and tangy and added so much more to the story as a whole.

Speaking of plot...aside from finally fulfilling my teenage dreams of a satisfying InuKag romance...I have to say that your writing and story telling skills are a talent that should be explored beyond the realms of this here humble platform.

The standout trait would most definitely be your pacing... its phenomenal. Never gave too much or too little. Left ample time for world building and proper character development. A teasing, slow burn that left us feeling like gushing preteens until you gave us what we came for only to ripped it all away at just the right moment leaving us yearning for more. And just when we thought things couldnt get worse, you stitched us back together again.

As a 28 year old...young...woman(TT) just looking for a good read during this quarantine, I tentatively search M rated fics in hopes to find mature, nuanced, complex writing with twists and turns and revelations and worthy antagonists but UGH who am I kidding... until..

haha.. well I'm sure you know where this is going...
