Really hoping for nejisaku

It's only the first chapter, but I'm already in love

ooohhhh my god you're amazing at your intro scenes holy crap. the first time i read this i gasped - karin's totally not who she seems and now i wanna know how much shes got going on. totally caught me off guard and i loved it. i enjoyed the surprise attacks and how pretty logical your tactics are (you must be great at tactical problem solving!). i liked how jiraiya is still the wandering sage and how he led a successful attack, but as much as shikamaru's a strategist, that it still ended in a failure. you have no qualms about letting the heroes lose. i wonder how they'll deal with that loss because pein's a tricky guy and theres no way he wouldnt have heard of either attacks now. and sakura has her father's broadsword? um okay i cant *wait* to see if she frontlines or not its going to be incredible

this one's my favorite chapter. the entire beginning had me on edge because well coming from peitho, you write nejisaku so damn wonderfully. theres something sensual and intimate in the way you write them and i love the tragedy behind their affair and how they used each other as stepping stones to cope. its sad and dark and gritty but humane - even better that neji's purpose for being there morphed from forgetting a previous lover to being stuck on his then-lover. and now he's here having to work closely to all the people thats got him tangled up and its stormy and brutal and i love it. i love seeing sakura be more than a passive speaker on issues (homefront queen such as in the prologue) and more of a proactive war speaker. its a new aspect of her character and i cant wait to see if she knows more and how surprised sasuke and the others will be

god i said t before and ill say it again: i love love love the way you've given senju this kind of power. i love how their land is circled by walls and that their isolationist but theyre monsters at defense (a call to medics and their insane defensive skills maybe?) and that they're unproblematic and run by women! tsunade as previous queen, sakura as current, shizune as lady in waiting to both. what a power move! i like how sakura was an enigma in previous chapters. there was something off about her, like shes prim and proper but here its clear shes powerful but stuck in the past. thanks a great personal flaw to built on, well done!

this one seems just a bit more filler- or maybe the meeting was long drawn but i think it serves well as making sure this is seen as a defining point. i love how you start to see the way the royal party is affected by one another on a professional and personal level (i spot some nejisaku!). gives me the feeling that this story will be built on layers and layers of plot and i love it

first part hit hard! i liked the introduction of various main characters here and how their roles are slowly but surely being laid out. it takes a lot to world-build outside of canon and i commend you for it! i also like the way you've put down karin. i think people need to chill on the way they're attacking sasuke and/or karin and how you've put them here lol its ultimately your story all the way. i like how even though karin could be termed a homewrecker, that sasuke and sakura didnt have much of a home to begin with and its not really either of their faults. theyre young and powerful and royalty so harems are normal, concubines are normal, affairs (though terrible) are also of the norm in a setting like this. i like how sakura's the iron maiden but karin's the seductress - i wonder if there's going to be more in store for them, cant wait to read more!

i just came back from reviewing peitho and wanted to go ahead and drop reviews for all your recent stories (i binged them all earlier lol). this one has to be one of my favorites since its an au out of my usual haunts. i so far like the characterizations and the premise!
