At least Sasuke has one adult who properly cares for him, after Itachi. This chapter was very emotional, for some reason. I guess because it kind of answered my question about why Kakashi never married, and it really made Sasuke look non-emo for once. It's like he also has an ANBU mask and that was lifted for all of us to see the human he is. This chapter was probably the best in this story, because it dealt with each issue one by one. The Naruto chapter felt like Naruto - very energetic. And this chapter feels like Sasuke - calm and determined (with Sasuke's theme playing in the background, of course :P). Good job on this story!

The first thing that caught my eye and stuck with me for the rest of the chapter (and probably, for the rest of the show) was how Kakashi was supposed to be a big brother figure to Naruto. Honestly speaking, his gray hair makes it difficult to believe that, haha. But as I read it, I realized that Naruto and Kakashi could have possibly had the same beautiful bond that Sasuke and Itachi's bond. Maybe not that strong, but at least Naruto could've had the brother figure he was always searching for (in Sasuke). It really makes a whole world of difference when you think of Kakashi as Naruto's big brother and it makes me feel so warm :D Thanks for pointing this out! Oh, but that means Obito and Rin also could've been like a big brother and sister to Naruto and that would've been so cute :(

We all know Sakura is his favorite! Great work!

Although I expected more about the others, I quickly realized you were probably making this into chapters for each student. And so THANKFULLY somebody wrote nicely about Sakura. I was getting so tired of people calling her useless even though she became pretty powerful later on. It's like people couldn't stop focusing on the beginning. What they don't get is that this is what character development is. Everyone in the Naruto universe has that and for a major character like Sakura, it would definitely be there. Even Naruto had his useless moments but NOPE, he's the title character so we have to think he's useful even when he's not, but let's pick on this character. I love how you brought out her best qualities and you spoke of how they surfaced over the years. It was very visual, for some reason, and I could see her growing up in front of my eyes as I read these lines :)
