erica.phoenix16 chapter 21 . 7/22 Thanks for updating. :) |
DorkStew chapter 21 . 6/30 Zim is so spot-on amazing in this story, all of his angry rants and comebacks I can easily hear in his voice. This chapter reminds me of why I ended up wanting to read more in the first place, simply because Zim's dialogue in the opening chapter was so entertaining. Too bad Kim got lead off to a rock quarry by a Girly Ranger like so many costumed villains before her so none of that delicious collateral damage Zim enjoys could occur. |
Yasdnilgoth chapter 21 . 6/26 XD This chapter was a dosy...not sure if I spelled that word right? That was a very lemony chapter LOL! There was many culture pop references, and the energy was just sugar high! LOVE IT! Update ASAP! Me hungry for more :D |
OMAC001 chapter 21 . 6/26 Love IT! Truly a wonderful hybrid of Zim and Loud INSANITY! |
Gamelover41592 chapter 21 . 6/25 XD okay this was ridiculously awesome well done |
DorkStew chapter 20 . 6/19 This chapter is heating things up with Satan and Tak finally entering the fray in full force to implement their own plans. Since "Mr. Elliot" told Lincoln that most people won't be able to send the markings on his arms, I wonder what small amount of people will be able to? Obviously Tak doesn't see them, but I wonder if Gaz/Dib or any of Lincoln's sisters will see them. Props on the tasteful fourth wall break by the way. |
Lavenian chapter 20 . 6/18 Hi Steve, it's your big bro, I know I haven't really been reviewing this stuff of yours like I ought to, so we're just gonna go with a lil big one here. So, as you know, I like this episode, even I never watched Invader Zim before in my life and everything I'm learning, I learn mostly from your perspective, and some part of me feels like I left out something growing up, but I have time to catch up now. I knew you had what it takes to be a talented writer even when you take two completely different universes with attitudes on opposite ends of the spectrum and somehow make them still able to function even in the bleak madness that I imagined the IZ world to be. Even though I tend to be unaware of things half of the time, I'm glad you're able to write all of this with an amazing amount of heart and elegance into this story, that sometimes I feel genuinely impressed whenever you go about this and proceed from one chapter to the next. Maybe it's just me but I love how you write Gaz and Lincoln in this probably the most, as it's a pairing that doesn't seem like it should work but does so when the right person is writing them, and gets their nuances just right. Dib and his interactions with the Loud family is pretty hilarious, and I get a tingle in my funny bone when instances of his complacency from dealing with Zim’s alien antics have affected his own capacity for normalcy, like when Lisa asked him about the holes in his mostly brash infiltration plan to Zim’s house and not really contributing much, with the smart Loud sister being mostly in charge of the legwork. Then there was the bit with Lynn Jr. in the space mall and even more Dib-related antics. What with his Ham-merspace (I made a pun) and the back-and-forth with the indifferent space ship and her personality, and overall the story of Lynn and Dib getting along was hilarious and, in my opinion, a better use of Lynn’s character than how any of the writers on the show try to do her; she’s more fun and cooperative and generally never up there on the level of obnoxious she tends to be a bit infamous for, and I like that, when you can take someone you don’t normally care about to someone who becomes entertaining and interesting. The build-up of Lucy’s growing attraction to Dib is probably, what I think, is the ones where I can see that you’ve had a fair bit of fun writing. I don’t know how to put it into words exactly, I just have a feeling when there are parts that a writer puts where they wanted it all to come out perfectly. Lincoln and Gaz don’t really contribute much during these early parts, but right now it’s too soon to say anything, and I like the Minisodes for making sure all of the other family members are shown having something to do peripheral to all of the chaos that’s going on everywhere else. It may be a cliché to say it but I want more out of the story until the end, and it’d be fun to be surprised on how you get all the major cast members to do stuff as this goes on, and by that I meant the whole family with the Membranes and the Irken and their crew as well. |
Mr. Haziq chapter 20 . 6/12 Oh my god. Their teacher is LITERALLY Satan... Wow. One Piece up in this beyoch. I don't know enough from the show to guess his powers though |
Yasdnilgoth chapter 20 . 6/7 O_o Was that Satan from Vazquez’s JTHM or is it your own version? When he referred to god as lazy, I found that as a reference to JTHM. This is getting more interesting! Update ASAP! You’re doing an AWESOME job! |
OMAC001 chapter 20 . 6/7 So Lincoln's got devil powers, is kidnaped by Tak, AND has an upset Gaz to deal with?! Crud, what a bad roll of the dice! |
Dragonkeeper10 chapter 20 . 6/7 Well, this is the start to an intense part II of this story. The devil, Tak kidnapping Lincoln, and Gaz and Lincoln dancing horribly around the like concept. Nice. The only problem is every-time I see the writing Mr. Satan all I can think of is someone other then the devil. I think I may have a problem. |
Gamelover41592 chapter 20 . 6/7 0-0 uh oh |
Yellowpikmin88 chapter 20 . 6/7 Well that was quite the development. Throwing the Devil in now, are we? I wonder what Lucy will have to say about that? |
DorkStew chapter 19 . 5/28 As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed the latest chapters, but chapter nineteen really helped catch up with all the major players and give a taste of what's to come. Out of all the scenes, I most got a kick out of the scene of Mr. Elliot showing up and getting a diaper to the face as well as Luan turning into a forced trickster due to the dreary nature of her new environment. I'll add that the way you write the relationships between Lincoln and Gaz as well as Lucy's unrequited love of the naive Dib is hilarious. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see more from the next arc. |
undead3 chapter 19 . 5/26 Absolutely wonderful. |
