I think Eponine is a Slytherin. Sure, she dies for Marius, but she thought he was going to die on the barricade as well, so it's not like she was sacrificing herself for him. Her life was miserable and she wanted to end it. She slips Valjean a note so that he'll move away and Marius won't be able to see Cosette any more. Certainly some of her parents' cunning and ruthlessness rubbed off on her.
But you're definitely right about Enjolras. I hate it when people say he's a Slytherin, it's just not true. I think several of the barricade boys would be Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs, but I don't really care enough about them as individuals to make a judgment.

This was very unique and interesting. I'm not sure what I think about Javert-I'm not sure if he was ambitious exactly, but he did have a determination to survive, and Salazar definitely would have noticed that he went from the poor, starving child of prisoners to a high-ranking policeman in Paris. As for Valjean, I don't think he really belongs in any house. He is one of those characters who completely defy the whole "house" system. I agree he probably wouldn't be in Gryffindor, but I think he would strongly resist being put into Slytherin. If he had to be in a house, I'd put him in Hufflepuff because of his steadfastness and commitment to justice.

One thing though- as far as I can see, you don't mention where they actually are. (I'm assuming they're in some sort of HP afterlife, but I'm not sure.)

I'd LOVE to watch them place Dr. Jekyll/Edward Hyde. Yay Enjolras got placed in Griffindor (which would have been my house). I love Enjolras and Dr. Jekyll. Yay Jekyll! Good work I laughed really hard at Javert's chapter. Poor Helga couldn't get anybody.

I could very much picture all of these characters going to school together to learn how to cast spells on each other...

Now I want to go to Hogwarts even more!

Of course, I would have to be in Gryffindor if I went, no matter how much I hate the house. Because, duh... I have to be in the house as my favorite inspector... it would make it so much easier for me to stalk him.

LMAO! I'm a huge Harry Potter fan as well and today was when I first saw Les Miz. I definitely didn't expect to see them connect in any way, but this site is full of surprises xP

I really liked this. At first glance you would think Javert would go in Slytherin and Valjean in Gryffindor because we seem to see them as the "bad" and "good" guys, respectively. I guess it depends on what one considers good morals.

The only thing I have to critique is "Sal". Nicknames in the Harry Potter fandom make me cringe so bad- but that's a personal preference.

You're right about Javert. He's ours. (I always did like him.)

I'm not so sure about Valjean. I don't think the altruism is just an act. Hugo is an altruist, and Valjean is his great hero. He makes clear that the theft of bread (and most of Valjean's legitimate work at that time) was for the sake of his sister's children. He puts a great deal of emphasis on Valjean's careful protection of Cosette.

I am a little curious, as I always am when people talk Sorting: Where do you Sort yourself?

THis was that you dislike Marius and Cosette too much to sort them. Everyone seems appropriatly of funny that Valjean ends up in Slytherin while Javert ends up in Gryffindor.

Oh, come on - Jean Prouvaire is such a Hufflepuff. And Combeferre's a Ravenclaw, for that matter. xD
