Don't agree with mitos pov and how she went about the kurama situation, you even said it yourself she saw what working together with your tiled beast accomplishes but still choses to keep kurama and do it herself.
The part with the two teams that are hokage candidates was confusing but that might just be on my end.
Story was kinda interesting enough but that end was game of thrones ending worthy lol. All in all we didn't see what happens after future man come to fix the past and don't even get a they lived happily ever after seal.

Hashirama didn't learn Sage Mode from any of the known Summons with known Sage Modes, and definitely not the Slugs. His looks different than any of the known Sage Modes. He either learned from an unknown Summon or was Self-Taught. I think he was Self-Taught, he already had the connection to nature with his Mokuton, all he would need to do is figure out how to use that connection.

Actually, Naruto turned 17 during the war, so he was 17 by his battle with Sasuke, not 16.

Misunderstandings are bound to occur.

Externally these characters do not represent likable people and Mito comes off as if she should have been written as a legit villain due to her predatory political temperament and easy self-justification (most of the villains in Naruto have good justifications for what they do and get smacked down just as hard). But ninshu vaporized that and there really was no other tension to make the story interesting since in this NG the bosses don't scale.

Your story is excellent. I don't really think it matters if others don't get what they expect. It's your story, so as long as it's what you want it doesn't matter.

I’m gonna be honest, while I like the idea of what your writing and I’m probably gonna keep reading just cause it looks like it’s gonna lead to a good fic. Some parts of it I really don’t like. For example it seems like Mito here is just completely taking advantage of naruto and holding kurama hostage. Like I am not saying they should fight but I would think he would want the nine tails back after all they went through. But good luck with the rest of your story, I look forward to seeing what you write.

Not to be rude but essentially you’ve made naruto a side charecter in this fic. What is his point of coming back to the past he is essentially the strongest being because even for a second if he can go into six path mode he can destroy the whole continent and both hasirama and madara. It’s like you’ve made mito and her successor the main charecter and naruto sidelong. Kurama will never agree to work with mito he hates her as much as madara. I think Narutos naivety should have stopped after fighting a war and killing sasuke who he though of as a brother it’s different then madara and hashirama as both had family. Fic seems odd because mito is only thinking about konoha when we know that zetsu could have sensed Narutos chakra and have learned what he could from them talking.

This is well written, and I get your rationale for wanting to write something different, as well as agree with you about the premise of such an easy happy ever after without the fourth war being flawed...but it feels really slimy having Mito take advantage of how trusting (and later when he finds out, forgiving) he is to lie to him and essentially hold Kurama hostage for the remainder of her life and makes her exceedingly unlikable. Further, a clarification, if you please? When Naruto used nishu to show Mito his entire life, apparently, he he not also see hers in the exchange? Anyway, even if it end ups meeting his ultimate goal in the process, it just feels like he's to be used, and used, and used some more for all that he can benefit them with no real consideration for him. Also, you have seemingly tied more of his ability than you should to Kurama. The Six Path Sage powers he was gifted have nothing to do with him, Naruto just happened to be using them at the same time against Kaguya because he'd be stupid not to do so. Thanks for writing.
