I love seeing Petunia and Lily explored like this, especially from Petunia's pov. I feel like this was a completely unique take on her and her outlook. I've never read anything quite like this, and it was so emotional watching Petunia struggle. The fact that she saw it as Lily left her... ouch. That is such a unique concept because I usually see Petunia happy to shut out her sister.

I loved the progression here. You really showed her trying to cope. I enjoyed seeing her desperation, wanting so badly to be normal, and yet she still thought about Lily. This was an interesting duality and conflict, and you executed it well.

Vernon being plain and boring and predictable was wonderful. I feel like it really gave Petunia that normalcy she craved. And the fact that when she had Dudley, she referred to it as her better family... again, ouch.

The line that really got me, though, was when Petunia put Harry in the cupboard, and the line about "It's where Lily's things go." That was so painful and it was literally only five words. How did you manage something so raw and poignant like that? It definitely was the perfect note to end this on.

Also, I adore your style. It has such a poetic feel to it. I love people who can take prose and transform it into poetry.
