Love this! Jess and Lane should've been friends on the show. They would've gotten along great. I mean, we did get to see a little bit of that towards the end, but not nearly enough. So, thank you for writing this. Oh, and Jess punching out Chuch Presby for Lane, I can totally see that. :)

I totally agree that Jess and Lane at Stars Hollow High would be great. This scene in gym class is great. I always wanted to see the two of them at lunch and others asking each about the other since on the surface people might not see why the two might hang out together. I’d love to see them talk music and perhaps Jess get Lane more into a book for English class. Also we never got to see how the two might deal with pressure to take the SATS or college applications. Jess would encourage Lane to apply somewhere she wanted without her mom knowing, and I could see Lane being intrigued by Jess’s interests. Perhaps they can even commiserate over families, moms, dads, etc. I’m excited to see this story and look forward to more.

I can never get enough Jess and Lane friendship (or Jess and Paris friendship... Actually, give the boy all the friends, because he's so underappreciated)! And don't feel bad, Lane, Rory can't keep him out of trouble, either.
