Ok so Ash being so frustrated with people just not coming out with what they’re feeling is so on brand, but Misty being sympathetic towards Serena’s plight is so gorgeously done and good and pure becs girls need to love one another and take care of one another and understand one another and Misty’s fucking spearing that effort.

My heart broke for Misty when she found out Serena kissed Ash. And idk why but I really liked that line when Misty wondered if Ash would like wine instead of whiskey. This chapter really leaves me wanting to read more! I love this story and I can’t wait for the next update!

when she starts overthinking about the stars thinking of her and her relationship with ash, she thinks so much yet can’t understand it herself, she doesn’t know how to process this feeling of love! it’s so new to her and she just wants to make sense of it. I really loved this whole paragraph because it shows a very thoughtful, anxious side to her

the detail about staryu and starmie talking to the stars, that’s so adorable and a great feature of the pokémon world, you have the most creative mind!

He needs a friend.” THIS SENTENCE TORE MY HEART APART. just so sweet and short and perfect, it’s so selfless of misty to think of ash, I ADORE this! misty having the whole thought process of serena, actually defending her mentally and like you wrote, being sympathetic to serena, and also aware that ash isn’t the same, there’s MORE to him than what misty knows. this is all so much development and I love that you wrote this!

the argument between ash and misty was so perfectly natural, pointing out each other’s faults and then ash admits he doesn’t know how he feels, but then he reorganizes his thoughts to realize that misty’s intentions were thoughtful and not meant to be offensive, like he knows the REAL her! that she calls him out on his bs! a real friendship, not an ideal one! her pulling at one of ash’s ears was so funny

ash telling misty he wants to change his strategy like he’s growing up? love that for him! this part of the convo was really great and revealed so much of ash, I love that of him

when their hands touch, everytime we touch by cascada played thru my mind on loud speaker. him telling her he missed HER, then she just can’t process how to feel bc again, this is so new to her! ash noticing she’s not doing so great then the drink falls! then misty dies, RIP how is ash gonna pour one out for misty if she dropped the bottle

AMAZING chapter update, this added so much to their relationship overall. concerns and fears were brought up, exposing themselves vulnerably to each other that ultimately brought them closer together.
