DragonSoul91 chapter 6 . 7/9
This story is awesome so far, I’m loving it! I can’t believe I only found it now.

As soon as I read about the brain « teleport » thingy, it flashed as something inspired from Avatar. And since I really liked the film, you really hit the target :-)

As for the more science details, I believe you are doing great. Having a formation in life sciences from a University, I didn’t find anything shocking so far that it kills the flow.

Can’t wait to finish reading (going straight back to it...). Thanks for the good work, and all your other stories. Keep going ;-)

Great story. Most fanfictions with original characters get too crazy for me, but I loved all the original characters in this one. The pacing was also great; things kept happening and the plot kept moving forward.

The one thing that struck me as a little weird was how a group of brilliant scientists abandoned all technology and switched to a more animal way of living. In their months down at the bunker they could have packed their bags with at least some technology - e.g. computers designed for dragons, manufacturing tools, reactor plans, whatever. Iris argued that they had no use for technology any more but I'd argue that technology, even for dragons, is incredibly useful, e.g. for weapons, bulletproof vests, water sanitation (maybe that one's not entirely necessary as they can drink seawater), aquaculture, construction, and much more. It kind of reminded me of Lord of the Flies, where all some children stranded on an island forgot about modern day civilization (though clearly the dragons didn't become aggressive towards one another in this story).

That one gripe doesn't detract from its awesomeness though! Never knew a modern day story could be so interesting.

This was a mind-bending, wonderfully stimulating read. I loved it to the very end, and wish for a small blurb of what the Furies will do when the humans come back, but I know you have left it open for the very reason of leaving it up to the reader. Thank you for this wonderful story!

Holy crap man. When I found this story, I binge read it in a day, and I have to say, even though this is both one of your shorter fics and also one of your earlier ones, it's still amazing. I mean, the story is well written, you really nailed Hiccup's reaction to being the last viking alive, Toothless reassuring Hiccup with the rudimentary translator, and pretty much everything else this story has. I really only have 2 things that I really have a problem with. one of them being, networks in the bunker must have some sort of monitoring system, right? So how the hell did Morian get the message to the mercs from a shady website without the other scientists finding out? Secondly, yes I get that most of it is swamps, but did you really have to diss Florida like that? (jk, I'm just being silly about that)

*reads until the first line break*

Learning on the job much Toothless?
Generalliam0529 chapter 16 . 8/30/2019
This confuses me, how did alpha toothless come about if they never broke out? Or how did they freeze after the fact?
Deadly-Bagel chapter 23 . 8/21/2019
This was something I kept getting turned around by the description for some reason, but eventually found my way through. It's definitely got signs of being an earlier work, but it's not bad by any stretch. Simple, perhaps, though that isn't a bad thing. It's interesting watching your growth throughout your works.

I do now have to cross off another originality of AGoW though (as far as I've read in other works), one that won't come up for a while. Two, even, as I've never seen Hiccup willingly take the change from the start either. You are responsible for too much of that xD and the majority. Still, this was the last published work of yours I had yet to read so I guess I'm now safe for a little while.

Hmm, never did get confirmation of who died relevant to the mated pairs. I'll have to trust you would have mentioned anyone grieving in particular.

Bella is the first fledgling you wrote of, no? She's sweet, and fits well the part of a natural hatched dragon.

All in all, a pleasant read during my down hours today.

But of a sad chapter? Now I'm just waiting for it to happen. I mean, I was anyway, but there was a chance of being wrong before. Money's on Abdul.

I appreciated Skyler's response to Toothless wishing there were two of him. She basically right.

"Night had fallen." a short but deep statement there, intentional or not.

I haven't really been keeping track of the couples so I can't remember if any pairs have been split up. But they do have an even number of male and females now.

This chapter hits the notes it needs to, taking a pretty wild turn from the rest of the story. The first negative and lasting consequence, and it's quite a big one.
Deadly-Bagel chapter 21 . 8/21/2019
I am enjoying this still, I promise, just not much to say about it xP things are happening, and then they get resolved. Also Hiccup has a hole in his ear now, courtesy of the red stain on the pavement. Idiotic mammal.

I'm popping up here because I got a giggle out of Toothless' opinions on bears.

Lmao, and being compared to Gobber. Both believe on learning on the job, though at least Toothless is teaching from the perspective of the large fire-spitting reptile.

And more Hiccup Toothless banter. This story is very much the opposite of the IHTR universe, finding its moments in the down chapters instead of the plot. How interesting.

Why wouldn't Toothless look forward to a "lesson in biology"? Lol, a bit more self conscious than the other dragon species? Or maybe he just anticipates it being awkward for everyone else, and him by extension.

I suppose I can forgive Toothless for running so readily with all the human details of society. He lived around them for long enough.
Deadly-Bagel chapter 16 . 8/21/2019
Okay, so who's going to end up in the water? We've got an odd number of Furies, hopefully that isn't a buffer for a planned death

Handing a title over to Iris, something which is apparently tangible. This chapter is not at all subtle xD I mean most of it but this chapter particularly. Though as the brain was transplanted whole, it must be an effect on the body only? Hmm.

Some learning to be dragons, lol chasing a bear. Poor bear.
Deadly-Bagel chapter 14 . 8/21/2019
Private army, pretty much what I was expecting. This should be interesting. Can Hiccup breathe fire yet?

Pfff, Hiccup is slow to make a move as usual in such fics.

Oh look, there's the reactor coming up again lol.

That is an... interesting way to cry.
