D’you wanna know what, this chapter was perfectly accurate to the game because Miguel is BY FAR the most difficult boss I’ve had to fight up to this point (haven’t quite finished the game yet).

Anyway, I think you’re doing a really nice job here. You’ve got the characters pretty accurate to their in-game selves, you can write H’aanit’s dialogue just about the same it is in-game, and I like how even though it’s billed as an Olberic/Primrose story in the character header, you aren’t putting too much focus on that aspect of it.

Didn't realize how much I wanted to read Octopath stories until I saw this fav'd by another author I follow. Good stuff having Miguel tie into not just Alfyn's conflict, but Olberic and Therion (while still giving Al the last blow).

Can't wait to see how this story turns out! Especially when you get to a certain Gate...

Interesting that you decided to do Alfyn's third chapter so soon. Of course there's really no reason not to, considering his business in Goldshore is already finished. It's kind of funny how he and Ophilia just trade off for their second and third chapters.

It bothers me a bit that Ophilia's chapter comes across as kind of an afterthought next to all of Alfyn's stuff. If I could be honest, I feel like she's had the least emphasis in this fic so far.

That said, I like how you tied Miguel in with Olberic and Therion's respective backstories. It also made him even more despicable than he was in the game! That's impressive. Poor Cyrus though, doesn't even get to contribute.

I wasn't going to comment on anything until I caught up, but Alfyn wanting to have a bangle of his own just made me laugh.

This is good so far. Not a big fan of recycled dialogue from the game (at that point, why not just watch cutscenes online?) but the extra stuff helps out, and I imagine it'll level out as the story goes on.

Finally got around to catching up with the story and honestly your touches to the whole plot of the story are so... good?! (especially the bit with Mik and Mak god that was so unique and I had to stop myself from laughing out loud) and love it all the more! You give every word and sentence so much thought when you expand the world and I truly love it a lot!

I love how much personality you give the characters with your words and how you manage to find the perfect balance in giving them all time and space to interact with each other and their environment and make the story more engaging and colorful! I can’t wait to see how you give more depth to the characters (I absolutely love lore building and the bit with Ophilia using her staff to make light is a really nice touch!)

Seriously can’t wait until the next chapter!

I have to say, I've truly enjoyed your rendition of this story so far! One of my biggest issues with Octopath Traveler was the fact that the characters didn't interact very often or have any affect on the rest of the group's stories. Here, you've played along with each of their characters so well that I could see their stories taking certain routes when meeting the other main characters. I'm really glad I found this and hope to see more soon!

Also, I full heartedly support RoseRic XD though with the way H'aanit is, I could also see her being interested in Olberic, considering she wants to be with a man stronger than her. But Primrose is still my favorite girl lol

This is perhaps the most entertaining depiction of Professor Albright I've yet seen. This chapter provided no shortage of entertainment value.

This is so well written! Your story has given me so much joy thus far and I'm so happy to have been able to find a wonderful fic with Primrose and Olberic shipping at it's helm! I LOVE THEIR INTERACTIONS! This absolutely outstanding! Can't wait until Chapter 8!
