Phew. Well this gutted me. So many time Turner stories make it seem less dramatic that someone foreign is literally entering into time space that previously didn't exist for them. The way you wrote it is both devastating and realistic. The way you started the story was also a kick to the gut that forced me to heel and read through it all.
