Jess, this... this chapter, Jesus. You know I don't usually review each because of my intense need to read the next, and usually save my review for the final and give my overall thoughts, but damn. This. Chapter. Everything about it is just sheer perfection. So many little intimate moments between Liv and Lara, Liv and Elliot, and Liv and Lara AND Elliot there at the end. It had me in tears in the best way. Sheer perfection. For me, I think this is my favorite chapter of the story, but I haven't read the last few yet. So, we'll see if that's the case after I finish it. ;)

Wow. The way you tackled this chapter...brava. So many could and may have gone a different route - e.g. the roleplaying segueing into sex, but you handled this masterfully. My only regret is that he didn't follow her into the bed and comfort her. Just...hug her. Make her feel safe again. Ugh. These two.

I remember reading this on svufiction many years ago, but didn’t know that you not only posted it here but finished it as well. It’s sad and graphic yet beautiful. This is a true testament of how a great writer you are...

Finally finished this chapter (24). So many emotions...

I am heartbroken by Lara’s ending. I feel the same anguish as Liv that it all seems pointless now. But then I remember her last memories were of Olivia’s love and comfort, of people treating her gently and with kindness she had never known. A serious gut-punch, though, and that is a huge testament to your writing and your gift of being able to make the characters on the page feel so deeply human.

The ending scene between E/O was absolute perfection. I have music blaring to block out noisy neighbor and DMB “Crash” came on, and it all just felt so perfect.

Couldn’t even finish the first third of the chapter without a review. Just a giant sobbing mess over here.
