Interesting take. I liked seeing different perspectives.

I really like this piece because it reflects how alien the immune cells must appear to the RBCs. From what we've seen most immune cells don't engage friendly interactions with RBCs. Killer T's rant about needing to he distant/cold to non immune cells may have been a way to hide his jealously about 1146's closeness to 3803 and keep his tough guy image up. But he had point that immune cells have to be able to kill anyone and keep a emotional distance to do their jobs. In this way it's understandable why most regular and red blood cells don't have the opportunity or desire to get to know immune cells past what they show them on the job (which is just killing and looking intense/really into it).

3803 is different in that she's really kind and really gutsy to walk up to what she's been told is a psycho who enjoys killing and keep talking to him despite any barriers.

I liked how 5100 is protective and at best decided to be neutral for 3803's sake. She's always worrying about her pupil and, despite any teasing or agitation, easily loves 3803a lot and has faith in her. You bet if 1146 started dating 3803, 5100 would give him at least one 'you better not hurt her' speech (lol, 1146 might treat her like she's 3803's gun toting dad in this situation. Yes mam I understand mam. Even though he's not afraid of her).

I'm glad you wrote 4201 the way you did. Some fans give her a bad rap but I think she's a very good addition to the cast. She provided great development for 3803 and had some good development herself. They both overall have a great relationship in my opinion and I hope to see more of it in canon or fanon. Being so new and having 3803's kind determined nature influencing her. I think 4201 would be the most fair about the situation. She wouldn't be befriending 1146 or any WBC on her own (she's not the most emotionally available cell). But she'd trust 3803 and totally think 'yep of course my sensei is close friends with a murderous WBC. She's just that fearless'. Funny thing is I could see her scaring 1146 on some level without meaning to (he did think her intense face was scary). She'd say 'you're dating my mentor. You better step it up' she wouldn't mean it in a threatening way (she's a RBC. She'd consider threatening a immune cell absurd on any level even if she wanted to). It'd be the closest thing to open support for them. But 1146 might still feel a chill and claim she's got dead eyes. 3803 would tell him that's just her face.

I love 5963 and that he and 3803 got attached to each other pretty fast after the herroage incident. I like to think he quickly became one of her closest friends since both have similar personalities. He's just older and more experienced. Maybe he could even be like a older brother to her. But I appreciate his quiet unease yet respect for 3803's choices. He's obviously seen a lot but will keep it to himself since this is a new body and he's willing to adapt.

Overall I liked this thoughtful story on the RBCs. Thanks for posting.

I love the idea of taking the perspective of one of the transfused cells! I haven't seen that in any other fic I've read so far.

Interesting POV from the other more prominent red blood cells! It's interesting to see how more hesistent they are about U-1146's and AE-3038's relations to one another, mainly because of how juxtaposed their reaction is to the white blood cells.

How I See Them:

Red Blood Cells: Erm...Is that safe? Is it okay? Are you sure? I dunno...

White Blood Cells: SO CUTE. SHIP IT! OTP!

It is kind of... Sad? I mean, this is a pretty deep character (relationship?) study. I guess this is how all RBCs around AE-3803 really think about them. Is it really that bad? Yeah, RBC could be infected by parasite (malaria by example), but alas virus and bacteria usually targeting RBC more often so... They are more in the risk being the victim than the other way around... But, I'm not really good at medical study so I can be wrong about it
I mean, it is dangerous for WBC being close with her too. If one day, he had to kill her, who is the one hurt the most? It will be him
