Read the review from a guest about the Tardis not translating for Rae, just wanted to say that it is perfectly logical that the Tardis doesn't translate for her. In the show the doctor clearly states that the Tardis doesn't translate gallifreyan. So if she wants to be understood she will have to be taught another language. Like English, or whatever language she wants to learn that the Tardis can later translate into any other language.

It's curious that the Tardis doesn't translate Rae's speech the same way it does for everyone else. Rose is clearly able to speak to aliens despite not having studied their language. It's a little weird that the Doctor will have to teach Rae English just so that she can communicate. But maybe this will be explained later on

Hi. I really enjoy the story, and Rae is adorable, but I just wanted to say : Rose isn't some blonde bimbo nasty person. She would fully take Rae with her, or at least make sure she was safe, before running off. And she wouldn't feel ignored, because the child's been there two gosh darn days after being tortured, and I'm pretty sure Rose, as an actual compassionate and kind individual, would be just fine having a little less attention for a bit. Last bit of the rant, sorry, I'm quite sure Rose would really adore Rae, seeing as how she always acts around children, and wouldn't call her 'the freak who can't speak English. If she did act like that, the Doctor would kick her right out the TARDIS.

It's so sweet how protective both Jack and the Doctor are of Rae. I loved the interaction between Rae and Lynda. Definitely looking forward to more.
