Always good to see Mikhail, he was always the most interesting man in Torna.

Now this is good fun! Including the combat system of Golden Country has been something you have hinted at for a few chapters, and I'm quite happy to see it.
I eagerly await new chapters!

Ill be honest. Never overly cared for corvin. Zenobia is pretty cool too but hey fair enough.

Not to worry. It was a good fight and seeing them all work serendipitous in a coherent way. It's hard to write a long story and trying to get closer to the plot, but I think you did a good job here. More Nia-centric viewpoints and here thoughts on how to make of Fan.

Having finally gotten XBC2 myself last christmas, just getting around to finding the time to play in within my backlog. Hopefully soon so I can use it to help get help and comparison on how you're taking this story differently. Keep up the good work!

Erm, shouldn't the Pretorium know exactly who Nia is, seeing as they chased her around and even captured her about a decade ago?

Rex and Nia interactions are always so sweet. I really like it. In fact, Rex continuing on this adventure for literally no other reason than he wants to be with his friends is more in-character for him than being the "chosen one" like in the original game.

Hey, it's always good to be seeing a new part to this. I'm certainly not complaining.

It is nice to see more Nia interactions. Though it does make me wonder if Nia would be able to reveal her secret before the original point in canon.

Unless it's all port of her act?

It honestly didn't even cross my mind that Zeke came out of nowhere in this chapter. He always just came out of nowhere in the game, so it seemed perfectly natural!

Good chapter as usual. Seeing these characters interact is making me wistful for my original playthrough of XC2.

Honestly, just the fact that Nia is Pyra's Driver is already enough to intrigue me, but the fact that you're tackling the plot elements out of order also helps. It'll definitely be interesting seeing Vandham as a proper party member rather than a temporary one (by virtue of being encountered AFTER the battle against Malos and Akhos). And of course, Zeke. Zeke is always memorable.

Anyway, can't wait to see how things go from here.

No reviews yet?! Shame! There's not a lot going on besides traveling and some conversation stuff but those are important to carry the story further on.

For some reason, "bum-bum" of Gormatt Titan got a laugh out of me, as well as Fan's bodyguard being forced to deliver a ship back to said bum-bum. Not that she needs any help, really. She's a Blade and Titan-whisperer.

It was nice to do shout-outs to the Torna chapter, and that there's even honor among villains here, with Malos showing concern, of all things, to Jin. But if they're both going to show up and encounter Fan/Haze... going to be one heck of a reunion, huh? Mythra probably made a bad omen talking about this with Pyra too.

There were a lot of character moments here I appreciated. Since Nia is in the main protagonist role for this story, you technically didn't need to focus so much on the other characters but managed to squeeze in a nice moment of training for Rex and Tora. I also continue to appreciate how you breeze through scenes and how things progress that might otherwise make an adaptation of a big RPG adventure here. You note the journey but not focus on those details very long.

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter and what the crew will face now with Vandham around.

Aw, that little reveal of Corvin’s was actually pretty heartwarming. It’s also an ideal i can really get behind. Having the Drivers and Blades actually fighting alongside one another was one of my favorite things about the Torna DLC. I’ve always liked the concepts of the Blades, but it always felt awkward to me how they would just sit back without actually fighting. I wonder if Nia and Mythra/Pyra will be able to fight together like that eventually, once certain events happen.

Speaking of Torna, Haaaze! Man, Haze is one of those characters that i hardly felt anything for during the main story, but playing through Torna made me love her and the rest. I guess walking a mile in her shoes really helped in that regard. Now that i’ve gotten to know her better, i’ll probably cry next time i watch her die at Jin’s hands. The true tragedy of her circumstances during the main game hurts now.

This was another enjoyable chapter. I’ll be looking forward to seeing how Vandham will affect the group dynamic going forward. I like the idea of him acting as a teacher for both Rex and Tora. Keep up the good work!
