I feel like their age in this fic is fine; there are so many adoption fics that involve teens or preteens already, and I feel that younger ages increase both the fluff factor AND the drama (taking care of a young child is a lot different, more challenging, and more transformative for the parental figure AND the child). Instead of just jumping in with a complicated backstory for the twins already, make it a bit simpler-something happened to both the Lars family AND the Organas that necessitated them being placed together. You may also want to make them unaware of their own Force sensitivity, as 8 year olds being that advanced in skill seems like a stretch.

Cool concept for your new story. Looking forward to reading it. The Leia and Anakin scenes should be fun, she will probably throw it right back at him. Love how spunky she is, Sounds like a fun idea. :)
