It’s so nice to see you back again.
The Breaking Bread series has always been an intense read for me because there always seems to be temptations thrown at MM.
This was definitely different in that the temptation was for both of them by another person.
Matthew’s reaction to Mary’s confession about the other woman was interesting because I thought that he would be mad at her for not telling him about her past before that moment and that she had kept it a secret from him while other people knew about it. His response reminded me of when Mary told him about Pamuk in canon and Matthew didn’t get angry with her.
I was also surprised that Matthew had been in a situation where he could have been with two women who both happened to be escorts.
Although it does make sense in a way because he did have his own life before he got with Mary. I like that this story didn’t have Lavinia in it.

Ooooh. As always, nice to read any fic written by you. Loved it but wow isn't it steamy! Good luck with your novel. I'm sure it's wonderful.

About the story, being completely honestly, since "Adultery", I always read the fics from this AU with some trepidation/fear/anxiety, I was suspicious of the summary, then dreading the hints and Anna confirmed them. It's just not my cup of tea. Anyway, I decided to keep reading because your writing, characterization and attention to detail are excellent. Thankfully, everything was solved like I wanted and that Matthew and Mary reassured their commitment to each other.

I understand that Mary isn't actually bisexual, that it was something of her relationship with Pamuk. I found that, similar to "Allurement", there was a conflict between what Mary wanted herself and her relationship with Matthew. It was even clearer when Madeleine mentioned the cheating version of the offer. In the last case, she could explore something in her current relationship and now is more choosing between A and B. Also, sometimes it feels like Mary uses sex to solve or brush things with Matthew. I liked that Mary told Madeleine that Pamuk had history with her and she rejected him, so it's easier to reject her. Her cherry blossom tatoo, please, Madeleine, get over yourself!

I loved that they went to Downton for the anniversary, it had the advantage that Mary was relaxed remembering carefree times, the problem, running into people. I didn't made the association of the last name with Larry, at first.

Matthew has a good point when he told Alex that he must put more effort in the relationship because they know each other so long. Another part he has to stand is those kind of parties, but he clearly has accepted that is one perk of being married to Mary. I have to admit Tim and even the introspective version of Larry must had been uncomfortable.

About Alex and Anna, things have certainly progressed. Anna stressed that Alex is chill about the wedding, that's a classic. It's understandable Anna is stressed with the expectations of 300 guests (!). Alex, retreat from the weight topic! Luckily for him, he offered a reasonables alternative to that discussion.

Nice details: It was nice to see Mary missing the children; lol, Alex saying Matthew isn't indispensable, only a mess and Alex preparing to veto Matthew's stag party ideas; Matthew being a bad rider; I have to admit that was quite a party, Matthew taking cooking tips from Youtube; Tom and Sybil had a baby!; lol, Matthew trying to teach George football, and the boy only held the ball, Mary is right, he should learn to kick it first; Mary adding "tolerant" and "patient" to Matthew's complimments, ha, ha!; Mary feeling the pressure to sell her image to promote her business and Cora and Robert being doting grandparents.

So happy to see another story from you Apollo888! I've missed your writings so much! Loved the continuation to the 'Breaking Bread" series. It seemed like issues from "Allurement" were settled from Mary's past but I'm glad you had something left to base to story from. Loved that they returned to Downton and were able to take a weeklong, secluded vacation. Matthew and Mary are as hot as ever! Mary seemed more open about her past and feelings than before by bringing up Madeleine's proposition to Matthew first than in "Allurement" when Matthew found out later about Mary's encounter with Kemal. Loved Matthew's response about having a threesome to Mary and later Mary's response of never betraying Matthew. There's no doubt about their love and commitment for each other! The ending was perfect!

So excited to get notification of a new story from you. This was of your smutty best and I love it. You’ve been missed. Thanks for sharing.
