NuclearBurrito chapter 15 . 4/10 Always nice to see you update. I'm looking forwards to when she masters shifting and starts jumping around the timelines at will. The major turning point with these kinds of abilities is the moment when you stop thinking about winning THIS timeline, but winning NEXT timeline. SHIFTING is much more powerful when you are willing to create a dead timeline on purpose to enable a successful one later. |
Bioyoshi chapter 14 . 4/2 Its nice to have a little venting session, just shake all the stress off in any way possible even if it doesn't actively resolve the situation. Good chapter to finally shake off that last little bit of serious tension as we move into the next arc. A short simple chapter with a short simple review since what it did it did well i would think. Looking forward to more |
Bioyoshi chapter 13 . 3/6 It's almost as if saying absolutely everything relevant in a shotgun manner without actually explaining anything, while incredibly gratifying is not exactly a tenable solution when you realize most of the cast has very similar forms to timey wimey garbage that you have. Nice to see the consequences of ones actions immediately taking root for that instant gratification and then pondering how on earth she could even repair all this damage before all the truths come out anyway. Its also refreshing to see an interesting take on the whole "shifting" thing with Clover not changing things yet despite that things changing around her due to other shifters altering things at the same time, puts a fun spin on making friends with everyone now that we have some idea that around a third of the cast might be suspicious of her. But reigning it back into being an actual review rather than me just gushing i must say im a fan of this chapter just due to the exploration of multiple shifters since the rules of shifting seemingly have changed somewhat with Clover being able to jump. As it only makes sense Tenmyouji has his powers at the same time which gives us a lot of unknowns for how the future will play out. Then on top of all that we get a nice bit of hype building for finally pairing with Sigma more, the defacto man himself getting his take on this whole shtick which makes this a pretty solid hook for the next chapter at least for me. So i gotta say i'm definitely looking forward to the next installment my good man |
NuclearBurrito chapter 13 . 3/5 great as always. still looking forward to seeing more |
NuclearBurrito chapter 11 . 1/21 btw. I don't think you get how this whole quantum mechanics thing works, which is sensible because most people don't. but basically, timeline splits are always happening, with or without an explicit choice being made. so in the case of "clover" jumping to before she went through the doors, there WAS a timeline split for her to have an alternate self to take over. The difference between the timelines just wasn't the doors, it would have been something trivial instead. or heck, Clover having a panic attack is just as much a difference in timeline as her saying a different colored door to go through. point being, there is no missing timeline split and thus there is no plot hole regarding that. this also means that unless Phi jumped to when her past self was unconscious that there should have been some past self waking up there. The games ARE consistent about that, it just doesn't come up very often. Basically the jumps Sigma makes wouldn't care about this from his perspective since he doesn't necessarily interact with the consciousness being booted out. And the only time we see someone else jump in VLR is Phi, who also jumped back to the same place she left from, meaning her past self was quickly pushed in and out of the future with no chance to do anything. meanwhile in ZTD they deliberately pointed out how they were Killing people each time they jumped. Basically, the long distance jumps Sigma makes were the only jumps that weren't either followed up by jumping back to the point they left or that were triggered by dying. |
Pokemon Trainer Tom chapter 12 . 1/16 Now this was great. Horrifying to nearly every character involved sure, but great. A real shame that most characters won't remember this, with both Sigma and Phi already gone, although it's probably for the best. On that topic though, it is odd, because if we're going by ZTD rules (I think anyway, it's been a while) when SHIFTing the consciousness swaps places, so for Phi to just collapse... Hm. As a side note, Alice and Tenmyouji seemed perfectly, well, not 'reasonable' in a sense but certainly understandable. Looking forward to future updates! |
Bioyoshi chapter 12 . 1/15 Damn this is a real satisfying chapter you've dumped on us. Oh sure it ends obviously poorly but thats this whole series for you, im specifically referring to the plot dump. Its the one thing that always plagues the mind in these kind of stories to just let every single piece of information rip at any time and you knocked it out of the park. The whole of the chapter was well done, more straight forward plot progression with a bad timeline, a satisfying lore dump that also doesn't actually hurt the plot since both shifters have left the build, and topping it off with some damn fine character writing with death hovering directly over their heads and with no solution. A damn fine chapter if i do say so myself and im looking forward to more my good man. |
Eliqa chapter 12 . 1/15 Actually that was pretty fun. Dropping truth bombs in doomed realities is something I often find very entertaining. Glad you are continuing the story! |
NuclearBurrito chapter 12 . 1/15 you're fine. This chapter was great and I'm looking forwards to the next one! |
NuclearBurrito chapter 11 . 1/6 This story is amazing so far. You better continue it... or else... |
Guest chapter 11 . 11/15/2019 I highly enjoyed this story. Your idea is clever, and your writing style shows a lot of potential. Too bad that it hasn’t been updated in a while. You deserve more reviews, i think. |
Guest chapter 1 . 9/5/2019 Hey! I've really enjoyed this. I had never heard of the game before this but the story was written so that I could understand and follow it anyways. Thanks (lots of fan fiction authors tend to skip over that). I like the characterization, and the suspense keeps me on edge. The emotions of the protagonist are interesting and thought provoking, I especially love the way you handle introspection and the thought paths the character goes down brings me with them too. And that's not even mentioning the smoothness of the prose here (your works all read so beautifully, I can envision each scene so clearly that it truly makes a enthralling experience) It's a serious suspense/thriller. I hope to keep on seeing more of it. Hopefully, there will be blankets in the future for the poor, under clad heroines. Thanks again, -guppy o doom |
Bioyoshi chapter 11 . 8/10/2019 Just binged my way through this whole thing and i gotta say thanks for actually sticking with it despite the rather unpopular game you are tackling, its a great time to see something obscure get the love it deserves and you have an, albeit small, dedicated viewership that is excited for the next installments |
Erefu chapter 11 . 7/17/2019 Can't wait till 'Clover' will meet canon Clover. Beside that I'm lovin' this story so far. : I wish there was more good Zero Escape fanfics there tho. |
DankAnon chapter 11 . 6/21/2019 This story is hot. Keep it up! All this consciousness talk has got me hungry. Hungry for more that is! Looking forward to it. Have a great day! -DankAnon |
