Reading the start of this chapter the immediate thought that went through my head was isn't it a bit stereotypical to suggest that because the girls parents are gay that they would also automatically be gay?

If I was Jane and Korsak started interogating me about Maura I'd shoot him. He's far too nosey in this story.

The way I read your remarks about Maura was that she was hired by someone in the Police Department but this isn't true. Its the Governor of the state who hires the Chief medical examiner. She is also not answerable to anyone in the department. Her only superior is the Governor.

This fic was all i never knew i needed! i love how jane and maura were married from the start, no questions asked. it is just so beatiful and very well written! :)

I am re-reading your stories again because I like the relationship between Jane and Maura and the others. I would be interested to see how you would write a series of prequels - Jane and Maura meeting, getting married, living in Chicago and SF, having kids, and of course Hoyt.

Its interesting how you got Sasha Alexanders Serbian heritage into this story and Dubrovnik which I believe is her real maiden name. Very clever. I have to say though that I really don't like Vince Korsak in this story at all. He's coming across as very nosey and interfering like he has a right to know about Jane and Maura and I don't think its just the cop in him. He's almost coming over to me as way more annoying and interfering as we would expect Angela to be. I hope he's going to mellow down soon or I can see Jane in this story thumping him.

I think this story has potential but I have to say I really don't like Korsak or Frost too much. As you say there far too nosey and almost treating Jane like one of their criminals so I hope that improves. Maybe I'm wrong but I also noticed when Jane mentions Maua being hired you seem to suggest that Boston Police department is her boss. This is not the case as its the responsibility of the Governor of the state to hire an ME. I think though that this belief is perhaps caused by the writers of the show. I did some detective work myself and discovered that irl the medical examiners office and the Boston PD Homicide unit are in fact two different buildings so therefor Jane & Maura wouldn't actually be working in the same building. I guess they've done that to create the relationship between the ladies.
