Please continue with ‘Tales from Earth-45’ as it has the makings of an anthology series. It can not only act as the bridge between the original series and the sequel, but to expand concepts and characters that were introduced previously or didn’t get a chance to shine. The seeds that were placed in the previous series for the formation of Justice League Dark are finally paying off, and the recruitment drive for the members is a great who’s who feast for those who are longtime or casual fans familiar with DC lore and its characters. Another positive is seeing Dr. Fate in a leadership position as he oversees this new team with his wife by his side along once they begin taking on supernatural threats, and how they’ll guide the next generation of Homo magi or practitioners of magic (or mysticism). What surprised me is Klarion Bleak not appearing in this chapter because he would’ve served as the wildcard member of the team as he is in some ways like Gin Ichimaru in terms of personality; plus he has teamed up and worked with heroes in the past before Flashpoint.

For a proposed storyline or two, you could do one focusing on this incarnation of DCAU Kitty Faulkner (Rampage) and have creative liberties exploring her origins. She and her New Earth counterpart’s history would be the same until the point of divergence where Kitty and Rampage are starting to conflict with one another in their shared mindscape, leading to the latter putting Kitty under the bus and falling in with the bad crowd. The second storyline would be inspired by the Superman: Grounded story arc, “Time Bomb” from Wolverine and the X-Men, and the Superman Adventures comics where it took place in the DCAU continuity before the Justice League was formed. It involves Livewire, Leslie Willis, having difficulties with her electromagnetic abilities as they’re somehow becoming unstable and Superman becoming determined in saving her with the assistance of his friends from the league and S.T.A.R. Labs (specifically Roquette Sterling and Emil Hamilton). This in turn creates a subplot where Clark and Emil reconcile with one another after everything from CADMUS to Darkseid’s failed invasion attempt. You can use the DC wiki, Livewire’s Wikipedia page and Comixology to look them up for creative liberty, and if you decide to take up on these ideas.
