Dumbledore is evil and needs to die. He claims it's for Harry's sake, but Vernon literally just tried to murder him.
Kingsley is a horrible person. Even if he was willing to go along with Dumbledore's plan to send the boys back, he could have gotten rid of Vernon. He can't even claim that he believes Dumbledore because he knows Vernon tried to kill 2 7 year-olds.

I laughed so hard at the end scene! Oh my goodness. Fresh insight indeed. No blood, but plenty of broken bits and bruises. I'm not sure if Harry now being acclimated to Severus' brutality, a good thing or not. XD
