This was beautiful. Simply splendid! Well done! Beautiful writing, the characters were on point, the pacing didn't feel the story was dragging. I was on the edge of my seat! It perfectly blends the elements of the two stories while still being its own thing. It is perfection! I applaud you! This should be a novel! Keep on writing, I can't wait for more!

This whole chapter was a lovely combination of "Beauty," "Hunchback" and your own writing. The third last line makes it all perfect. Who is Quasimodo if he's not in his own skin? However it ends, Quasimodo is still perfect.

I really like how you described the characters' interactions in this chapter. The King's guilt (did I spot a hint of compassion for his first-born son, too?) and Quasimodo's anger are portrayed so convincingly. I'm so looking forward to reading the next chapter! I just hope that both the King and Gaston get a chance to redeem themselves and they'll be able to see the other prince's inner beauty and to accept him just the way he is.
