Clueless-Major chapter 1 . 1/13 Everything you write is gold, I love this so much! I like seeing the fiercer side of Jackie, and the softer side of Hyde, it's always a treat~ |
subchan chapter 1 . 11/23/2019 The story was super sweet |
Dove29 chapter 1 . 8/29/2019 kudos |
mille libri chapter 1 . 6/1/2019 I love this! The level of detail is perfect - specific without going overboard - and their Fotohut predicament, caused by Leo's mysteries and Jackie's insistence, added just the right note. |
Guest chapter 1 . 2/16/2019 Awe right in the feelings! |
Deimanciukas chapter 1 . 8/14/2018 I guess you're my favourite author of this pair. I already read few other stories you wrote and all of them are great! This story it's fun and nice and even a bit sweet. I really like it. |
Guest chapter 1 . 8/14/2018 This story was so perfect! |
nannygirl chapter 1 . 8/3/2018 This fic was absolutely wonderful! I loved the setting of the Fotohut and the fact that it took place in one of the early seasons, those are some of the best episodes I think and this fic really felt like it could have been a very fitting part to the season. Reading it definitely makes me wish it had been! Terrific way to set up the scene in those first few paragraphs. Could see Hyde set up in the little FotoHut, working the slow but easy late night shift. Liked how you explained why the late night shift was needed, aside from the laidback customers that sometimes came to pick up their photos, to get the delivery from the photo processing lab. Then when Hyde hears sound from outside, I loved how Hyde turned off the radio, to keep himself alert and making it easier to understand what was going on out there, especially if the visitor turned out to be a thief. When he looks outside and sees who’s there, I can’t help wondering if he partly wished it had been a thief out there lol LOVED this line here “His smile rotted, becoming a grimace.”—Wonderfully written and made for a very easy image to imagine. The details of Jackie’s appearances are terrific too and you gotta love that not only does Hyde notice them but he puts together the clues of her appearances to figure out that her coming to see him had been a last minute decision. You did a really fabulous job at capturing how Hyde was sort of freaked out by seeing Jackie there. His actions of fast beating heart, locking the door, taping his jacket over the window (very clever!) while Jackie was knocking and asking to talk, gave a kind of sense of horror movie scene that the show might have tried to make, the line about monsters being outside was a great add in too! There’s more to the reason of why Hyde doesn’t want to see her though, his mind still hold the memory of their Veteran’s Day kiss fresh in there, how she’d felt nothing and he’d said the same, AND now more recently he’d seen Jackie testing Kelso, eager to convince herself he really was capable of being a good boyfriend. LOVELOVED this line here: “Their kiss a few months ago had clinched how he felt about she felt that way about a moron.” Hyde knowing he had feelings for Jackie after that kiss, aww! So sweet my heart just about melted until the next part where he’s so sure Jackie not only doesn’t return those feelings for him but she has them for another guy. Their exchange from the Fotohut walls are great, he can already tell when she’s lying! More clever thinking from Hyde when he turns on not only the radio but portable TV and at high volume to drown out the noise of Jackie coming from the other side. Makes me wonder of he’d picked up these tricks when he was younger and maybe had to drown out not so happy sounds in his home. Oh my gosh! Jackie knocking out the electricity because she’d been kicking the hut was brilliant! We’ve seen her kick plenty of people on the show and in fanfic but never a building and her being able to knock out the power shows how much power is in those kicks! Like the detail of her cheerleading helping play a role in making her leg into a wrecking ball. Really loved reading the part where they are both figuring out what happened, both a bit confused and really surprised. It was great! Once Hyde seems to have run out of ways to drown her out, he starts to not only talk with her but listens too. Jackie admits that she and Kelso aren’t together because she was seeing things more clearly now, things like Kelso and things like Hyde and their kiss. She knows he lied and his reply “Go home, Jackie” He doesn’t deny it! Doesn’t admit it either but doesn’t deny it either! Lol Oo when Jackie tells him she lied to, I loved how we got to see Hyde’s reaction to her words there’s definitely some anger there, you wrote it very well! Jackie’s explanation for why she lied was terrific too and sounded very much like something Jackie would do, especially the part with her wanting Hyde to be with someone that he really loved. Jackie’s words about hope and fantasy were so great and I really like how Hyde understands exactly what she means. When she tells him it’s over between her and Kelso and that she wants to be with him only, she wants to know the truth of his feelings, of that kiss—brilliantly awesome stuff. Could perfectly imagine Hyde’s reaction with your great writing but this lien was especially awesome here: “He squeezed his eyes shut. Stars exploded behind them, matching the sensation assaulting his stomach. If this was what happiness felt like, it was sickening. It was terrifying, and he had no intention of giving it up”—AWESOME stuff! Gotta love that Hyde initially tried to give his response through his actions, opening up the drive thru window but it gets stuck and he’s gotta use his words. "Ever fool around in an electricity-deprived Fotohut?"—Lol! That’s so Hyde like! I’m glad Jackie’s reply states she doesn’t want to just fool around she wants to date him and end though the idea makes him nervous, it’s a good kind of nervous and he’s willing to save the fooling around for their second date lol Their back and forth banter that followed was so great and very in character, I especially loved when Jackie figured out that the reason Hyde had lied was because she had lied—I’m so glad she figured that out in this story and *soo* wish she had in the show! Hyde telling her to go around to the back door and getting things ready for a little picnic with chips and rootbeer is so sweet and sounds like a pretty ideal picnic to me! Lol But Hyde’s thoughts here, “Not ideal, but Jackie seemed to be done with ideal. Choosing him proved that.”—poor guy, really doesn’t see yet what Jackie sees him but hopefully one day he will! The door getting stuck because the lock won’t move was something id did not see coming and have to admit I found it really amusing that after at first trying to keep Jackie out of there, Hyde was now trying to figure out a way to get her in. Another very great line here: “This place had been his fortress, and now it was his prison. No guarantee this town even had an all-night locksmith” But I really loved when Jackie volunteered to kick in the door lol and Hyde stops her knowing how much damage she could really do lol I’m so glad that they were able to contact a locksmith so Hyde wouldn’t have to spend the night in there but so Jackie could get in there too. Jackie running to him and kissing him all over when the door was opened made me smile and so did Jackie paying the locksmith so he’d go away lol, The words sounded just like her! “She'd tossed those twenties like they were nickles.”—That’s so true and part of what made it funny for me, but it makes Hyde worried that she might expect too much from him or still be lost in a fantasy of him, luckily Jackie assures him not to worry about money, her heart was crazy in love with him and that’s all that mattered. Such a sweet moment with Hyde bringing out the picnic stuff, Jackie says it’s perfect but even Hyde doesn’t believe her and because she knows she can’t get away with it, and it probably wouldn’t be so great to lie again, she tells him that maybe other plans would have been perfect but she’d rather eat potato chips with him than a fancy meal with someone else. Also the add in of Disneyland’s fake Paris, LOVELOVELOVELOVE that and you know why! Lol Hyde calling Jackie cool and her excitement about it is adorable! It’s also really sweet and says how much Jackie’s already maturing when she says she doesn’t expect fancy things from him but does expect effort and for her he’s willing to put in that effort, aww! Awesome work once more! I so enjoyed reading it! Thank you for writing it and sharing it with us! Looking forward to reading more from you! Till then keep up the very fabulous work! |
siera2325 chapter 1 . 7/15/2018 loved it |
Scorpio21 chapter 1 . 7/10/2018 Glad to see you're still at it. No one writes Jackie and Hyde like you do. Love the short ficlet, and I hope to read more from you! |
narutoDkurosaki chapter 1 . 7/10/2018 Well written as usual. Would you ever write a fic where Hyde just runs away from Jackie after the Chicago incident and he returns many years later to point place? |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/9/2018 I was so excited to see this and as with all of your Jackie and Hyde fic-I love it! They are still my favorite couple. |
107derwent chapter 1 . 7/9/2018 As always, I love all the tiny details on your stories. It makes me really see the scene happening in front of me! I can see where Hyde's coming from, keeping himself away from Jackie after everything that happened on Veteran's Day. When it comes down to her, he's always suspicious and skeptical about their relationship especially when Kelso's involved somehow. I'm glad Jackie was bols enough to come to him and express her feelings (and talk about expressing with those brutal kicks on the wall hahhaha). Anyway, another great story as usual! Hope you write some more soon! |
Marla's Lost chapter 1 . 7/3/2018 Awww...this was too sweet! And what a powerful kick the cheerleader has! I remember how flimsy those drive through foto huts were - I could totally imagine Jackie's fierce kick knocking the shack around. Great comparison with the corroded door lock and Hyde's corroded part of his life falling away. Bravo. |
Syanna Vodka chapter 1 . 7/3/2018 Great you came back! I liked this story a lot. I hope it does not take long for the next :) Kisses! |
