Thank you, thank you, thank you for updating this! I was just reading it the other day and I can't even describe to you how you make these characters come alive. They are in character and you managed the fine art of balancing that in this AU, when Ace and Marco are from different crews. I feel writers tend to forget that Marco is the second in command of a Yonko crew. He's no pushover and he's definitely ruthless enough to do what he must to protect his family, especially in a world they live in. Acts of kindness, compassion, and vulnerability or whatnot are frowned upon because it is something that could easily be preyed upon. And given Marco's nature of character and his position, it's quite implausible that he would soften just to anyone.

And you've captured that so well! You painted him in such a way that didn't betray his character. Ace sees him as mysterious and powerful, yet kind and strange. Marco isn't always kind to him (oh when he refused to play along until Ace became more patient) and the playful pirate-y attitude shone through, along with that air of danger. It's so clear Marco's guard is still up, but is beginning to crack in the face of Ace's honest genuineness.

Okay, I'm rambling because I love this so much. I wonder what happened that Vista reacted that way (please, please let it be that the incident he was referring to was NOT Thatch's death; I will cry) and I wonder how the Whitebeards would react. And Roger. Hah. That's a mountain of a guy to get over.

And I'm also going to thoroughly praise your character build-up of Ace. You made him just spoilt enough (come one...we know he kinda is here) because of the way he was raised, and yet his true inherent personality still remained intact. It's a beautiful portrayal of how complex a person can be. How who one is nurtured, yet also shaped by the core of who one is. And Sabo is alive, okay, you're going to make me cry. Stop it.

I'm kidding. Please continue. Though it is unfortunate that it is the whole pandemic around the world that kinda led to this update, I'm glad I had this to read while I'm cooped up at home. Above everything elsethis fic or any other you may haveplease stay well and stay safe. It's a scary world out there, but it also brings about miracles like these world of imaginations and connections through stories. Now that's me being cheesy, but in all seriousness, take care of yourself, alright!

Also, Hell Fire Kitten is cute, but also kind of awesome. Like a skateboard design. XD Whats tricky abt this fic is the supplication of nicknames from Roger, Ace and apparently Marco. Youve already done the Pumpiumpiumpkin song too. And the food pun on Marco! My imagination went overdrive! It started sounding like Ace wanted to eat him up along the lemon dipped gravy part! XD XD XD
