Oh MAN, this was excellent! I agree with the other reviewer that the whump was top-notch, but my favorite part was actually Mal helping Simon and being all concerned, and reflecting on how much Simon's changed into someone Mal actually (perhaps grudgingly) can admire and respect. I love his line "A good ass kicking is the mark of a man" because it just feels *so* much like something he'd say. On that note, Simon's dialogue is also dead-on - especially his deadpan reaction to Jayne's smirky innuendo in the beginning.

I absolutely need more of this, so I do hope you post more Firefly! :D Thanks for sharing!
