Reviews for A Highly Illicit Rendezvous
Guest chapter 1 . 12/8/2015
Why? Just why?
Quel chapter 1 . 9/24/2013
When I read the description, I thought that I could do a good laugh... I that I had. I lost it with the name calling thing, I could just listen to their voices in my head and it seemed downright indecent! I think we have a very solid and consistent basis to consider the possibility that these characters *could* have homossexual impulses, but I never imagined this kind of exchange between them... Still laughing here! Indeed, a masterpiece! Concratz :)
protonprincess chapter 1 . 6/12/2010
I know that this is very old, but I thought it was wonderfully hilarious.

Lilaxx002 chapter 1 . 4/19/2008
*starts laughing uncontrollably* Oh God... Oh God... THAT WAS HILARIOUS!

I just want to say, THANK YOU for seeing this couple. I mean, "Why can't a woman be more like a man?", give me a break! gay gay gay gay gay! It's SO in canon, I think the thing that killed me was the maids, they were... Oh God I can't even describe it!

"Pickering!"

"Higgins!"

"Pickering!"

"Higgins!"

Man, that just made me lose it. Yet again I just killed my innocence. thank you. :)
Bimefl chapter 1 . 10/22/2006
Yes, I realize this story was written awhile ago, but I was looking for My Fair Lady fics and I just could resist reading this one. You see, I am currently involved in a production of My Fair Lady and we couldn't help noticing how much all of Higgin's female bashing was really praising men. We deduced, therefore, that he was homosexual and that he and Pickering had an elicit relationship while Eliza was there. Like a twisted love triangle. We take every opportunity to bring it up during rehersal. What I really must commend you on is the "Higgins" "Pickering" exchanges, because just Friday the two boys in the roles did that during rehersal, each crying out the other's names rather like two lovers during sex. And so, in short, thank you for this bright spot of humor! It rang too true for me at this point and I loved it!
kittiegalal chapter 1 . 1/17/2006
You know, strangely enough, this sounds like something that our drama dept. would do with these people. The two actors who play Pickering and Higgins in our version are some of the few male actors in our school who aren't gay, though, so that would be...interesting.
vanillafluffy chapter 1 . 2/19/2005
I was reminded of an old Benny Hill sketch:

"John!"

"Mary!"

"John!"

"Mary!"

"John!"

"Mary!"

etc. This was delightful!
JJBroadwayGeek chapter 1 . 12/27/2004
OH MY GOD THAT WAS FREAKIN' HILLARIOUS! I seriously laughed so hard I fell out of my chair. Higgins! Pickering! OMFG that was AWESOME!
Isabella Fairfield chapter 1 . 9/19/2004
Oh dear god. Why hadn't I read this before. I think I love you. (You haven't, by any chance, seen Fushugi Yugi have you?)

As for something a little more pratical: I love the language you used, it's in a odd way brilliantly *them*.
LadyLizaElliott chapter 1 . 3/8/2004

Teacher on Toast chapter 1 . 2/10/2004

Demosthenes42 chapter 1 . 12/30/2003
::cracking up:: That was hysterical! My Fair Lady is one of my all-time favorite musicals, and I've occasionally wondered about the phrase, "Why can't a woman be more like a man?" Hilarious-my favorite line had to be, "All the men under me in the service said the same thing"-that was great. The whole thing was great! Totally random, but great!
Clarice chapter 1 . 10/28/2003
I'm not even going to sign in for this. It is an absolute disgrace. This play was meant to be about feminism and showing respect for your friends, not sleazy pornography. You must have no decency whatsoever. By the way the two "L guys" are Alan Lerner and Frederick Lowe. You could at least have found that out.
