I’m sorry the fanfic is great but the fact that the cannon name for the slayer is William balscovitz like the guy from wolfenstein aswell just sits wrong with me

Haven't even read the thing and I know it's going to do the DOOM SLAYER wrong. SLAYER is the personification, no manifestation of pure unbridled RAGE. THAT is his personality, THAT is his most defining trait. If you want to sympathise with the SLAYER focus on his role as a defender/avenger. He feels MORE RAGE when he sees 'acceptable casualties' and does not accept the sacrifice of innocents in any form. But always remember that his sole main goal is to RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT IS THROUGH!

Chapter 3, and at the moment, I am left quite disappointed.

Felt far too rushed.

Characters seem to not really care about his presence. He honestly feels like an OC character at this point, and not the Doom Slayer. The last chapter was the biggest offender, no one seemed to react at all to how brutal he was, I would have liked to see more of his journey to fight the Cyber Demon, but instead this is glossed over. The author even had a TV plot device, where they could watch his journey, yet the potential of this was completely wasted.

I can already assume at this point, that the author wants to give the Doom Slayer a personality beyond killing crap, which is fine, but it is obvious he is going to become a big softy with the ORC group. Not a big fan of the way it seems to be going, but people have their own opinions, so I would say this doesn't detract from the fanfiction in an objective way, just my own preferences.

I...I'm feeling kind of lost here. I don't understand what the timeline in this universe is. Does this take the game's events into account? Will you explain the division between "old demons" and DxD devils? Why is the Slayer so goddamn tame? Why did the Night Sentinel called "traitor" the slayer? I honestly expected the Slayer to be a total wrench in the anime's workings since his personality, traits, form of combat, and overall character foundations go against DxD's harem/ecchi formula and THAT is the fun of batshit-insane crossovers like these.

I'll reserve further judgement until I read further on but, I'm unsure on my thoughts of this fic.

The fact that the Doom Slayer is this trusting and can be easily aroused, I'm starting to question if you have really researched the source material, not gonna lie, it feels weird seeing him talk like he has not gone to through thousands of years running on pure rage and exterminating demonkind.

This story doesnt make any fucking sense from the very start. 1 demons from doom (those you kill in the game) are fucking trash if you compare them to demons and devils of DxD universe. 2 why is the knight the one to keep Doomslayer from waking up? The knights duty is to kill demons, so why stop Doomslayer from doing just that, going on a fucking killing spree. 3 Doomslayer isnt someone you can negotiate with. He is someone who will help others, but only if you are on his way (in his line of sight) of killing all of Hell. He is like Spartacus from Fate Apocrypha, he can hear you speak, but he doesnt listen.
