That's the word I always use to describe your work. Simply because it's true. It IS amazing! So gentle, so very well thought through, a lot of details and as in character as possible. You describe the Charles and Elsie from the show, but you know how to treat them (angry glare to Uncle Julian) And the idea with the book ... | misszenobell chapter 7 . 4/11/2019 I love how you built up the suspense a bit; reading the first part of this, I wondered what Elsie was planning...And of course, it turned out to be a lovely birthday surprise for her husband. Tom Sawyer was a thoughtful choice and I like that we got a little flashback to the winter when Charles loaned the housekeeper a copy. I also enjoyed the other sweet Chelsie moments you gave us in this chapter, especially them waking up peacefully together on the morning of his birthday. The little vignettes on everyday married life are always fund to read and serve as a good complement to some other stories in which life is a serious of large events. They have been servants their whole lives, so it seems entirely logical that a special gift requires a little extra efforts. |
