LyattLogan chapter 1 . 1/19 I love this fic so much! |
lprestons chapter 1 . 12/9/2018 This is quite possibly my favorite Lyatt story EVER. I absolutely love Jane Eyre and I never would’ve put two and two together but their stories are similar! I just love everything about this story and you write their characters so well! |
Once Upon a Whim chapter 1 . 10/31/2018 "To think that this sight had almost been anything but unusual." Sniff :( Truth, Wyatt, truth. We feel it too. And Wyatt, eavesdropping is almost never a good idea... Walk away, friend. Walk away when you hear the girl talk. Well, I hated Jane Eyre when forced to read it back in the day. But kudos for the crazy/lurking wife parallel. At least now when I hear of Jane Eyre, I may think Lyatt instead of miserable, miserable 11th grade English class. And I'm pretty sure I'll be forever single because no one can live up to a Wyatt that does that to a book for someone that he's not even currently in a relationship with. Sigh. |
IBYAA chapter 1 . 8/8/2018 Okay so yeah, I have physical tears in my eyes. I am actually near CRYING. This is beautiful and so perfectly fitting to Lucy and Wyatt, I can already tell I’m going to bookmark this and come back to it again and again. Love the call back to Jane Eyre Perfect so perfect, and Wyatt Logan is such a puppy he would 100% fish a book out of toilet and copy notes. UGH so perfect I can’t get over how much I love your work 3 |
Missyriver chapter 1 . 6/16/2018 BRILLIANT, GLORIOUS, YOU HEAL ME |
TheVintagePearls chapter 1 . 6/16/2018 I DIED the first time I read this. This is perfection. The amount of detail and thought you put into it is amazing. LOVING the use of parallels throughout, especially in the bathroom scene when her book falls in the toilet and the resulting conversation. I love how you always write them so in character too, it's amazing. Also really loved in the beginning how she wanted him there but just to sit there, so she wouldn't be alone. I hope something like that happens on the show (WHEN) we get a S3, just to show they gravitate to each other regardless of everything. THANK YOU FOR THIS! Can't wait for your next story :) |
GenuineRisk chapter 1 . 6/14/2018 Every Lyatt story of yours in my new favorite! I get to the end and can’t wait to read it again. I’ve never read Jane Eyre, but I might have to add it to my list! Waiting for renewal news is awful, but wonderful fics like this make the waiting worthwhile. :) |
ecstaticallygray chapter 1 . 6/14/2018 Brilliant as always! The whole thing with Wyatt re-annotating the book was so sweet I was smiling so wide. Although I haven't read Jane Eyre, the parallels were so nicely done and I loved the part where Wyatt makes the joke about crazy wives, the absolute dork. Also, Lucy's conflicting emotions were described so well, my heart legit broke for both of them when she said that Rufus hadn't left her willingly. Always waiting patiently for whatever you're writing next! |
LivingInSmilesIsBetter chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 THE SLIVER OF HIS BED THAT WAS MEANT TO BE HERS ALL ALONG. THE HUG. SNUGGLING. FORGIVENESS. RUFUS SAVED. THE GLOVES AND THE TOILET AND THE BOOK! COPYING THE LINNNNNNNNNESSSSSSSSS. AND OMG WYATT QUOTING A BRONTE. I AM ASDFGHJL;L;KLNKLCNKNASB. THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL. |
crazyaunt chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 Also, I'd give half of my kingdom to read Lucy introducing Mr. Darcy to Wyatt. XD |
crazyaunt chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 I actually don't have words for this fic. I'm speechless! I'm here like oh dear god I've been blessed! I read Jane Eyre few years ago, but my memory sucks, anyway I think the references fit the story like a glove and it's so well writen! |
shanchan13 chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 oh my god! this was so beautifully and wonderfully written! Di92 chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 I've melted into a puddle that is Lucy and Wyatt. Honestly, I've never read the book Jane Eyre, but after reading this fanfic I feel like going to a bookstore and purchasing it. I have a list of books I should be reading this summer and somehow I always end up catching up to my timeless fanfics instead. The parallel connections made between Wyatt and Lucy's current state and the love life of Jane and is a lovely twist. I love the back and forth point of views through the story. It's nice to have a glimpse of each characters thoughts and feelings as they make their transition into what may eventually be endgame. I love the way you always make it full circle whether it was explaining the title by using a direct quote from the book or by bringing back the conversation between future Wyatt and present Wyatt. That prompt really had a perfect place in this and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I love, love, love this story! Thank you! |
Guest chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 Goddamn. You are seriously my favorite author. You just get these character so freaking well and your stories are so intricate and detailed. The amount of development and growth you give Wyatt and Lucy in a one shot is insane. I get so excited every time you release a new work, because I just know I’m in for a treat and a rollercoaster of feelings. I’m completely honest when I say there are no words that can begin to describe how much I adore this story and your writing in general. Huge props to you. I’m dying to read what you come up with next. |
newcitylights chapter 1 . 6/13/2018 I loved this so much. So so so much. I’m such a sucker for these finding their way back stories and this might be my new favorite. I was grinning like an idiot at the end! How achingly beautiful! And Wyatt with the annotated book, it killed me dead! It’s 100% in character, so so him, the poor, sweet, guilt ridden guy. Ugh, love. I’m so impressed by this and so jealous of some of your phrasing! Beautiful without being cheesy or weighed down. Wonderful! Bravo! |
