Awww this was so well done! I love this interaction. Also, I think Louie is a GREAT character for this. Anybody can be gay, or ace, or trans, etc. It’s important to show that in literature and it’s wonderful to explore that concept in fanfiction too.

Oh, and I would tell Louie the following:

“Louie, it’s not a choice you made, it’s who you are, and you are allowed to be whoever you are, no matter who that is. Anyone who doesn’t understand that isn’t worth the time. Date and marry whoever you want.”

Sorry. I didn’t really like this though. I love all your other works, I just don’t really support this one. I just don’t believe Louie is the right character for this. This is your story, and don’t let me stop you from writing what you prefer, I just am telling you that I am fairly sure Louie isn’t the one for this. Let me have a word with Louie please?

“Louie, you know I love you and will love you no matter what, but I just can’t support this. You are my favorite, and still always will be, I just can’t accept the choice you’ve made. You can have a crush on the same gender, you just can never date them or marry them is what I believe. Different people have different beliefs. Even though Scrooge may approve, I don’t.
