Your story is quite interesting and has sparked my imagination on another concept.

I, of course, expect nothing... I'm sure you have your own things to worry about. However, I share my idea anyway on the off-chance that you or another reviewer takes interest in it. You, in particular, seem to have an interesting style that I feel might be able to pull it off.

The idea is fairly basic, not a crossover; but rather a change in state of being. Thus enabling you to change how Harry acts and reacts. Especially if Harry is influenced by the minds of the spirits he summons, assumably by accident... but... meh.

Have you ever considered the idea of a 'Shade' Harry? Shades, from the Inheritance trilogy about the boy Eragon and his dragon Saphira, are beings who have summoned spirits to possess themselves(Or, more rarely, someone else has done it to them).

These spirits are not former living creatures but rather pure and raw magic that has gained sentience over time. Most spirits called would be evil, as their summoner is seeking power, but theoretically one can summon good spirits via positive emotions such as say... a desire for family and to be loved. Wink, Wink... nudge, nudge... who do we know that has that issue? He lives in a cupboard under the stairs, it's spon... wait... no... 'Arry Potter? Is that you? So it is! Come get yer 'ogwarts letter.

Shades are usually fairly powerful, each spirit granting them extra power; but also enabling the spirits to exert more control over their 'host'. Evil spirits are almost assured to take over their host's mind eventually. However... a powerful sorcerer could summon them and either retain full control, so long as they do not summon many, or partial control (existing as a hive-mind with their mind as the main decision making power for their body).

Features of shades include vibrant crimson hair 'as if curtains of blood' and dark red eyes as if staring into twin 'pools of wine'.

Their skin and lips are semi-translucent, opaque enough to hide their muscle and bone but very pale compared to whatever skin tone they had prior. A pale brit like Harry would probably unfortunately have bone-white appearance while a deliciously chocolate brown brit like Dean would still be noticeably of African ancestry but with an unhealthy pallor as if the pair of them had spent months or even years without sun. This is partially due to the magic altering them into a form of semi-spiritual being and partially due to the protective nature of the magic (Sun tans are scar tissue, thus they would be shielded against it and also healed).

The main weakness of a shade is quite simple: stab it in the heart and it will die. Permanently. No ifs ands or buts. Though maybe some butt if Death is a THICC boy or girl.

Anywhere else and it will either regenerate or, if it would kill another being but isn't a heart-wound, cause them to disburse and then reform later without process was unpleasant for the Shade and extremely painful, but had no lasting consequences.

Most shades become stronger after reforming. This is because of them collecting additional spirits to empower them and thus avoid being killed again. However, this is not always the case; as a shade who retains their mind from before they became a shade might be weary of losing control if additional spirits are bound to them.

Shades, while reforming, can choose their appearance to some extent. Their bodies become solidified to a single shape afterward, and they seem to retain their gender (though this may be personal preference and it would be interesting to see how Dumbledore reacts to Harry changing his gender because 'he felt like it'), but their bone structure and musculature can be slightly or drastically different between incarnations.

Firstly, new spirits adding to a hive-mind may shift the balance; causing a natural change in physical appearance. Second, the user may wish to disguise themselves somewhat and purposefully alter it;though this becomes very difficult if one takes into consideration their innate hair color and almost vampire-like eyes.

Some shades use a near-skeletal appearance for scare tactics. A famous shade by the name of Durza is described as thus: having a face like a death mask or a polished skull that had its skin pulled back to give the appearance of life, along with sharpened teeth as if to filed down to rip someone's throat out if it was needed.

Shades share several physical abilities with Vampires and would be easily mistaken for them at night; or even an ancient vampire of great power during the day. Including supernatural strength, speed, stamina, pain tolerance, as well as unmatched senses: Able to see as clearly at night as they could during the day, track scents at great distances. They are almost like shadows who can disappear and then reappear in an instant elsewhere, at the cost of extreme pain. And they have shape shifting capabilities, again at the cost of extreme pain; a shade could theoretically form as any shape human, wolf, or otherwise. Though, remember, they would have bloody-crimson hair and dark-red eyes like pools of wine; marking them obviously a shade.

James has shown how of a fool that he is. I wonder how Lily is reacting to the news that she's a half blood.

Oh this is interesting, the umbritch is at least willing to share the same air with non-human magicals.
While this was a fun read before, it just got better
