Holy ****! This was really amazing and I like it. A lot. As In I-sayed-up-way-past-when-I-should've-gone-to-bed-to-read-this a lot. XD I love how you blend humor and angst together so well, and the character interaction...

Oh Kai... why do you have to be such a self-sacrificing, impossibly stubborn little idiot? You're going to give your friends and sister a heart attack... Poor ninja; they're going to have their hands full.

I think the whole "reveal" part, where the other ninja find out is absolutely great, and you got their charactwrs and reactions spot-on. I love the family of ninjas thing :)

Was kinda expecting more, tbh, but I'm completely fine with how you ended it, especially with a potential...sequel (*large, creepy smile*). The thought of you continuing this story-line is exciting; I'd totally read your next work.

hhhh. It's been too long since I've gotten to review your work! But you're back now, hopefully for good this time! And I'm so excited to leave you an obnoxiously long review :)
You always do /such/ a good job writing imagery and being descriptive in your fics, and this is no exception! I really like the way you start this chapter out, with Kai slowly drifting back into consciousness, it's just a really great way of setting the scene.
Ooof, and then the feeling of panic? Is really well conveyed? And of /course/ Lloyd is the one there to tell him to breath, such a good baby brother. These poor kids, this was a super close call, and you can tell that it's affected them all.
Oh! And Lloyd's line about how devastated they'd be without their best big brother Kai? Is so incredibly spot on and I love you for it! Aw, and the way you describe Nya's lecturing and just being such a sister is incredible!
Look at that, Kai's being his usual stubborn and maybe a bit lacking in common sense self, lol! Will he ever learn? Yes, things are beginning to get back to normal, and you can see it just from the bickering between siblings and that's just so acurrate to what it's like to be part of a family and it's amazing. (but yes, can't blame them for wanting to avoid thinking about some of what happened, it was definitely a rough time)
Kai /would/ try to secretly start training, haha, and I really love that piece of characterization. Oh, and they're all piling onto a couch together, /yes/!
This last bit of dialogue, tho. It's wonderful that they're all banding together to protect their brother, you can really tell how much they all care for each other and it's adorable. (but /poor/ Nya and Kai, growing up like that must've been unimaginably challenging).
I loved this entire fic and I'm so proud that you finally got to finish it! I can't wait to see what you do next!

HOLY CHAOS, THEY'RE ALIVE.

I actually read this update a few days ago but decided to reread the entire story again before leaving a review.

And I'm glad I did because GOODNESS KAI, I forgot how many times you almost flippin' died! Sit down, do as your sister says, and quit trying to train. Seriously, you stubborn little idiot. Fire isn't invincible! (Then again, no element is necessarily invincible... except maybe wind? I mean, how do you stop the wind? Morro was the only ninja to die so far though so maybe it's not as invincible as I think it is?)

Anyway, loved this story and I loved the development of the family. I feel like the show itself does an okay job on the "family of ninja's" thing but at the same time... it's not Star Wars Rebels or Voltron. This story on the other hand... YES. ALL THE BROTHERLY (and sisterly) FLUFF.

I hope to see more stories like this from you. Maybe even a one-shot of Sonic and Tails...? (Ignore me and my begging, I just love those two so much and, as you well know so well, I haven't been writing the happiest moments with them for the past... year and a halfish?)
