reveck chapter 1 . 9/16/2018 This was really well done. Pleasant to read and quite beautiful. Thank you for sharing it ] |
Skydragon74193 chapter 1 . 6/16/2018 This was oddly poetic. Great work. |
The Crane Wife chapter 1 . 6/6/2018 This is some gorgeous writing. I love the description in each year that passes and the ending is very sweet. I can picture each thing as it happens, feel Zelda's loss of time and memories, and the jolt of remembering when it comes.m back. Well done! |
Running Ninja chapter 1 . 6/1/2018 Wow. This is amazing! So beautiful! This is easily the best piece of ZeLink I have read in years. I love the lines "He'd wanted to do this for a long time. Hold her when she was broken, draw his sword when she cried for war." The way you blended both of their inner lives while still focusing on Zelda was amazing. And I love how you depicted Zelda running in the castle, I never thought of that before. I also loved how you described him helping her anxiety and PTSD, it was really very touching and really added a touch of realism that was just awesome. This is so great! Happy writing to you, you have a lot of talent! |
Guest chapter 1 . 5/31/2018 This was beautiful, it really was. Personally, I always saw the battle between zelda and ganon in this game as a metaphysical one, a battle of spirit and magic. That's why you can see her glow inside him in the sanctum, why she burst out of him after defeating his final form. After seeing the cutscene with rhoam in the beginning too: "but the princess survived... to face ganon alone" it seems to me that ganon devoured her - consumed her, just as it was said he would consume hyrule. But her light magic saved her, and she merged and even bonded with him. For those years they were one entity - she was trapped in him, and he was trapped by her, as her soul restrained him from the inside. That's my personal theory on why she was able to remain safe in all that time, as zelda is not a warrior in the physical sense - but instead it was a duel of spirit, and she was part of him. That also explains to me why she didn't age: just as ganon was immortal, he consumed her, and she became one with him and essentially became immortal too, feeding off of his immortality like a holy parasite, yet holding him back from the inside, which is why he was tethered to the castle too, as she was the anchor inside of him. I don't like the argument that hylias magic kept her young all that time - this is a different kind of seal than we saw in Skyward sword. Even if your version does differ though, the emotions were captured perfectly and the game never explains how their 100 years went. Even if it was my way and a battle of wills with her inside him, you absolutely captured the feels in this, and it was beautiful. It's a shame that you haven't written any LoZ fics before, because you're seriously talented. I hope you'll want to do more in the future. Fantastic job. |
