I stumbled upon this story and i just couldnt stop reading. Its steamy but i like it a lot. This is just wonderful story.

What does Georg mean when he says"and up here? there's more of you."?

Okay, so I'm going to leave a review now. I had thought about doing it on every chapter, but honestly, I just couldn't stop long enough to do it, I just had to get to the next one! There were so many things I loved about this story, even if it was a slight bit more angsty than I usually like. I was actually thinking this whole time (after it was apparent) why hasn't he Georg told Maria he loves her! I can see where Maria would think he doesn't. Also, I just knew she was going to end up pregnant! I mean, everyone probably did, but I thought it from the very first time...everyone probably did. Something I did want to mention, I loved the interlude with the snake. Too funny! Also, I was a little surprised at Reverend Mother, making Maria marry him. Then again, she did always have Maria's best interests at heart, surely she knew this would turn out well too? Anyway, this was such a fun story and even though I was nervous about reading it, I'm glad I did! I really really liked it!

I loved this story so much! The emotions were so complex and the plot line so compelling, it was literally impossible for me to stop reading. I love how you portrayed Maria and Georg in this, so raw and different to what I usually see. It is honestly inspiring. I hope I can write something as good as this one day. You are an amazing writer. I came back and reread most of it. One of the very best FanFict if not the very best I have ever read. It is in a completely different category. The poem connecting the second part is beautiful. Proposal is so heartfelt, bathroom conversation... just love every part it. The end was possibly better than beginning.

I love how you have taken two obviously complex characters from the movie and expanded on their stories to create a real, vulnerable, and human approach to their love story. *contented sigh* I know some of your other stories had more ambiguous, this-is-the-end-of-my-story-but-only-the-beginning-of-theirs endings, which I love, but THIS ending is just absolutely perfect in all it's fulfilment and certainty and bold declarations, especially after everything G and M have gone through.

I can't believe you've crafted such an intricate and intense journey that took us from Austria all the way to England. The events unfolded one after another so naturally and yet it still felt gripping and explosive, and left me sympathetic to both G and M's individual plights and yet spellbound at the magic you wove between them. Thank you for letting us be a part of this journey.

Oh I have loved this story. Rilke's poem, oh my heart.

LOVE this little epilogue... so sweet with the poem and the engraving of the ring... it was such a great story... I hope you find time to work up a new one ;)

Oh, you know I was intrigued by the poem when you first teased us with the line "With my heart as with a hand" all those chapters ago. Rilke's poem is such a beautiful tribute to undying, all consuming love.
The journey you took us on throughout this brilliant story gave his poem two very distinct perspectives.
There was Georg's heartbreak at losing the woman he loved - it didn't matter that life continued around him, he just couldn't let her go. In that context, Rilke's words are so heartbreaking, almost impossible to read through the tears and fear as your thoughts turn to losing the one you love.
But his poem is so uplifiting when read from Maria's perspective in the hotel room as she prepared to run away again - realising, knowing, that you've found the person you can't let go. In that context, his words are filled with so much hope and promise. Even when Georg gave her so little to hope for, they are so powerful - little wonder Maria was stopped in her tracks when she first read them, sending her straight back to Georg's arms.
This was the perfect ending to such a brilliant story - so beautiful, so much meaning in the simplicity of Maria and Georg lying in each other arms as they fell asleep, finally at peace with each other and themselves, truly husband and wife.
I adore your writing, and this story was no exception. You're so gifted, you put us in the shoes of your characters and we feel all of their flaws and fears as if they're our own. Your stories bring such pleasure and joy to so many readers. Please don't make us wait too long for the next one.
