How the fuck does this not have more favorites? Honestly, this is the best thing I've read in a while.

That was beautiful. The grammatician in me wants to see more subjects/objects in sentences instead of almost exclusively "he," but I understand that you were actively avoiding names and such, I suppose to ease the change of the old man's identity for the crossover. However, I did actually lose track of whom "he" referred to for a bit after the second other showed up. Also, "elder" shouldn't be capitalized. Anyway, that's all a side point to the fact that this is really beautiful. You expressed the overlap wonderfully, I like the introspective ambiance, and I like the respect and acknowledgement from Loki to Harry.

I wanted more to this story. Like after Avengers. Did Loki ever think of that old man? Did he ever look for him? What about Loki's point of view? The Avengers seemed to just take off after apprehending Loki in the movie. No checking to see if the old man was okay. What if he had a heart attack from the stress?

Ohy god, this is amazing, I can't believe nobody's done this before. The idea of the old man being Loki is perfect

Oh my... I don't think I have ever read a story with so much meaning behind everything you wrote... A shame its not a complete story rather than a one shot. It would have been interesting to read.

Awesome take on a scene I mostly passed off originally when I watched it. I'd love to see more stuff like this in the future!
