So endearing. Itachi's without knowing is open up to someone else after so many years. I just found incredible endearing their slow burn development. As friends and comrades. To confidants and them something else entirely. In the series, I also imagined that someone like Itachi would be well matched with someone like Sakura. I don't know. All their stories, their struggles, their deep care around those precious to them, they could well be star-croossed lovers in another lifetime. That is why I am totally curious as to see Itachi slowly falling in love with her. Sakura in the other hand, she is exceptionally endearing and oblivious sometimes, so I will definitely enjoy seeing as Itachi's feelings slowly progress and falling in love first, and Sakura not being much behind but just slyly slow to realise. It will be incredible amusing and endearing to see. Thank you for sharing this amazing story of yours! Cannot wait to read the next chapters. Btw, hope that Takeshi's interest in our dear "Saika-chan" are genuine and not because he is suspicious though.

not casting aside all the canon stuff about Itachi and Izumi relationship, I always thought Sakura and Itachi's personalities matched somehow... there's something about this pairing that is so tender, it makes me want to root for them. I guess I never really liked Itachi x Izumi pairing at all since she was introduced on the series... I don't know it just never felt right and it was rather odd picturing Itachi with this girl that came out nowhere. Maybe it's because of so many similarities and situations I find between the canon characters individually (Sakura and Itachi) that I unconsciously think 'they would've matched well as a couple'... anyway I loved how you wrote the whole story, I'm looking really forward to read more so please update author-san and thank you! Itasaku is my ultimate ship aside from Narusaku
