This story is absolutely adorable and while I don't know about what you based it on I think it's very well written. You did a wonderful job and the ending was perfect!

OMG! That kiss was incredible. This story was incredible. Can people actually breathe under water like that?! I can barely aswim without resurfacing every two seconds to drain my ears, eyes and nose from water.

I was worried about how she would react to the other concibines and they must not like her for taking over in the split second she came there. Or did Hiccup already tell them about Astrid.

A very delightful ending to this tale.

From a desperate intrusion while on the run, the Fishbone of a Poet and his fallen dragon god reunited with his Divine Inspiration. To be the Beloved of her Inspired.

Totally enjoyed how Astrid was simply...Astrid in her first encounter with Hiccup at a time when she could easily had him executed for where he ended up with her in her bath. And how her actions betrayed her station in those kissing bouts before she dictated terms for his stay.

That Hiccup got within her walls as he endeared himself to her heart while he was completely and totally smitten, was fun to read/watch as he and Toothless healed before journeying on.

Her splitting of her chai, as they parted, spoke volumes of what she declared he was to her and it gave him the inspiration to go and become more than he thought he was and regain what was taken from him and his State.

And the reunion was all Astrid and Hiccup, with a splash of Toothless. Punches, kisses, poetry and all the rest.

As the Dragon Emperor and the Plum Blossom became, Beloved.
