Personally I really, really like the idea of a true ME-Frostpunk Crossover. In fact, I've probably thought too much about it really... or that's just the overwhelming boredom of having nothing to do (thanks, Corona -_-) for too damn long... anyway,

Setting: This AU would have first-contact between humanity and the Geth occur about 270 years earlier than First Contact with the Turians in ME, a mere 30 years after the Morning War. Humanity being pragmatic to the point even the Quarians would be impressed, and friendly towards AI, the Council would have trouble with them for sure. I would also expect Earth to be near the Veil and the Terminus Systems, rather than canon location just off of Citadel Space, otherwise it makes little sense that the Geth would even be there.

Story: Cold Machines (this story) would focus more on the Frostpunk side of things, exploring the world of Post-Frost Frostpunk. Aside from the story you have planned, some ideas would be the Salvage Operation (and possible rescue of more Geth Programs & Platforms), boosting the technology of Humanity with Geth knowledge, and overall buildup of trust between humans and Geth. Perhaps even the unification of humanity thanks to Geth technology and communications. The story would eventually build up to the construction of a small starship to carry the Geth off-planet, with the Geth units here promising to bring aid from their main civilization "As soon as we can."

Then a second story could focus more on the Mass Effect side of things, but with the AU humanity and Geth. It would follow all the usually ME storylines - First Contact (and Conflict) with the Council, the Heretic Geth & Cerberus (perhaps with the end-goal of creating their own synth-organic race similar to Cerberus trying to use Reaper-tech in canon), and the Reaper War (which both would be more prepared for thanks to their cooperation).

O/C this all just me needing sleep and being bored, but I really love the settings of Frostpunk AND Mass Effect, so seeing a full-on crossover would be awesome...

Regardless, loved the story when I thought it was dead, still love it right now, and sorry for the huge & late review - it vanished into my favorites during the chaos.

Hey man, long-time reader of this story (somehow I didn't follow it, whoops) here. I'm glad to see you're fine, and that you didn't forget about the story. If you need help writing, want someone to bounce your ideas with, or want a proof-reader, I'm down to help you. All you need to do is ask.

On that, the story so far is great. You should keep it pure Frostpunk for now, with salvage from the frigate. Introduce more Mass Effect when you believe Frostpunk is ready for it.

The only problem I have with this is the structure of both sentences and paragraphs, I don't know what happened but it was okay in the first few chapters then declined from there.

I think you should start extending into the Mass Effect universe more. Would be interesting if some Turians or Asari showed up, heck even some Quarians?

If you are leaning towards pure frostpunk, then I think you should go for pure frostpunk unless you change your mind down the road. Besides, this update was an awesomely written.

...is it the turians? or a random band of cannibals. Man, this is reminding me of my last run in the game where my only regret was letting 28 londoners leave.
