Spidersauce chapter 1 . 6/22
So learning the patronus charm is worth five times as much as surviving the killing curse. Actually _using_ the patronus charm is worth a tenth of the latter.
Makes sense.
Echos of the Storm chapter 18 . 6/20
this is cool so far and i love how harry got reset to the beginning without his memory was good for the story.
And possibly while studying finding clues in books for a hidden quest The Ravens Loft. Lady Ravenclaws hidden room.
IunctusCorde chapter 16 . 6/18
Challenge the basalisk to a game of Uno or Monopoly?
I mean, liberal interpretation of defeat but also mad enough the game would probably go "...you know what, yeah sure wtf not?."

My first thought was a staring contest... i would not live long in that world would i?
IunctusCorde chapter 1 . 6/17

Harry is way to trusting in this story. The people he is meeting now arent the people he knew.
jh831 chapter 4 . 6/16
So is id creation common knowlege in this world? If not harry is a true gryfindor, jumping in without thinking on the consequences of telling information that he should keep to himself.

Guest chapter 16 . 6/14
On a scale of House cat1 to Nundu10; Dragons are a 5, basilisks are a 9, and blind basilisks are somewhere between a 1-8 depending on who is fighting them. For instance, someone who can banish a sword at the blinded basilisk's mouth could probably take it down with the same ease as stepping on a blind cat. But someone who only knows pure energy spells like stupify might be completely unable to defeat the basilisk despite being significantly stronger than the one who banished a sword.

On a scale of House cat 1 to Dragons 10, Nundo are around a 100.

In essence, a Nundo requires an entire army of possibly a hundred or more magi just to kill them. It could take several hundred magi to take them down in a non-lethal fashion and perhaps might even break over a thousand. Even if you defeat one, the plague gas they release would be extremely difficult to handle as the gas is constantly evolving due to the countless diseases mutating as they devour each other and fight for dominance. Even a dead Nundu is worse than a strong dragon or blind basilisk.

Meanwhile a dragon can be taken down with non-lethal force by a dozen particularly strong magi with only about two or three rounds of stupify. A good team would have about twenty magi and each would cast stupify twice in rapid succession. Though a particularly angry dragon, such as a nesting mother, might be able to fight off the effect enough to require a third or even forth round of stupify.

Dragons are not predators, they are prey. That's why they have eyes on the side of their head like a deer. Something hunts them. Something is strong enough to cause dragons to evolve extremely defensive abilities including the ability to breathe fire.

Assuming dragons are non-magical and magical variants of the dinosaurs that evolved specifically to evade a predator, we must ask one thing.

What Came From The Sky?

This of course leads to other questions.

We know that it survived planetary impact. We know it can hunt dragons, even causing them to evolve over a few million years into something with extreme defensive properties. We know the creature is able to be defeated with fire. We know the meteor they arrived upon caused an ice age, but was this just a result of the ash cloud... or did the creatures themselves bring the ice age? Are they some form of cold related creature? Can they fly, or did dragons evolve specifically to evade them by flying away? Dementors? Or something somehow worse than dementors? Do they still exist? If they do exist, where are they now? The north and south poles?
zelot65 chapter 17 . 5/28
i mean, i know it hasn't been updated in a year, it's probably dropped jada jada jada. the thing is, i like it, a lot. so the question then, do you have any rough drafts lying around somewhere that you can suddenly get a desperate need to upload? cause i really wouldn't mind if that was the case.

Now for the ever pleasant constructive critisism; The story is good, but the flow is a bit disjointed, i can see the story progressing well and you're the first person i've seen to have the ability to switch character base archetype during 'play' so to speak. If you want a smoother flow in your story I would suggest building up to the switches a bit more as to make them less jarring. When you switched to the scene with the diary in the chamber it was not immediately obvious why you did so, though you mentioned the need to get the diary for certain. building up to that moment could be as simple as overhearing Draco say his father for some reason had sent a diary of all things to arrgentina, or something. it helps build momentum and tension.

that's it for now, seeing as you're unlikely to ever read this
