I have to say, this is one of the best stories I’ve ever read. Not only is it well written, the plot is interesting. I couldn’t believe it when I reached the last chapter, and I can’t wait to continue reading it!

I adore your descriptions of Athena waking up in the mornin and the sunlight and her secret smile. And then the exchange with her dad is just perfection. Awww.

This chapter was just perfect. It is impressive how you managed to take something as horrible as Holli’s story and describe it so visually and emotionally and perfectly, all wrapped up in the warmth of Christmas. Despite those horrors, this chapter leaves you with a fuzzy feeling of warmth (sorely needed now) and amusement (thanks, Gil and Anise) and then by the end you get right back into plot. So effortlessly. It’s perfect. Good job on this, girl. Happy writing during your hiatus — I hope it brings you peace.

My god I love how Athena has no chill when it comes to telling off adults for their stupidity. Everyone just expects MC to do everything for them, when they're literally just trying to survive every year with constant death threats and school looming over them.
