Reviews for A Moment
roseblaze chapter 1 . 8/2
I like this, and I could easily see it, now that I've read the Testaments. The Aunts have to brainwash these women that what they're doing is so important, but yet deal w/ these wives that half the time don't seem to really want the baby anyways.
Aeterna Nox Rosa chapter 1 . 7/9/2019
Really good insight into Aunt Lydia's pysche. Absolutely chilling.

The saddest thing of all is that she never knew God. If she knew Him and really knew her Bible she'd know how wrong Gilead is. They killed, captured or rousted all the real Christians. If Aunt Lydia really knew God she'd have been helping mayday or one of the other resistant groups to get people out and bring Gilead down. The truth of cults in fiction I suppose.

Cults are so frightening but I really doubt any cult, like or unlike the Gilead cult, could grab power like that in a free western society. I really hope not anyway. I'd like to think our intelligence agencies would nix them long before that point.

Ashley chapter 1 . 10/16/2018
So beautifully written, it displays the dynamic of the relationship Aunt Lydia has for her girls. A trying job indeed and heart breaking.
