First chapter is great, appears to circumnavigate any plotholes that the canon fell into, whilst at the same time give an enhanced experience overall.

I LOVE this piece, and I enjoyed reading the filler episodes as well; not something I could say for the original.
But, I won't beg you to continue it if you don't want to. I've seen authors who cave to audience pressure, and their work suffers because of it. So while I might love reading your work, I certainly won't beg for you to continue it after you get tired of writing it.
Now, content.
I think that a science book might be on order for Steven soon, if for no other reason than that he's going to drive Connie nuts telling her answers she already knows! You did an absolutely outstanding job. You continue to write in a manner that is episodic and reminiscent of the source material, and that makes it more familiar as well as easier to read.
I also like that you didn't just shoehorn the three gems into the original slots. They all have opinions, all have realistic characters, and you aren't afraid to look at that and say "Lapis/Peridot/Jasper wouldn't do this, I need to use someone else." That ability to be flexible with the characters reminds us, the readers, that this ISN'T the world we're used to, and keeps us engaged. We want to know what's going to happen next, because this isn't something we're familiar with, but we want to see more of it.
I'm starting to ramble, time to wrap this up.
I'm worried about the unknown gem, but I'll address that if the problem actually comes up. Otherwise I would love, if you do end it, to hear about what happened in the timeline that kept the others here instead of the original two (not counting Amethyst in this) and what happened on homeworld...
But only if you end it.
At any rate, I encourage you to keep writing, I'm enjoying this quite a bit.
But as a fellow writer, I also encourage you to write for yourself first and foremost. If you aren't enjoying it, then do as you want and find that pause point to end the story.

I just got into the SU fandom a week ago and never did I expect to find a fanfic of any fandom to captivate me to the point of binge reading until 3am this fic is extremely well written remaining faithful to original episode yet having such a unique spin on it that i cant stop reading this is one of the best fanfica I've ever had the pleasure of reading I hope you keep this up

I know I'm supposed to hate Peridot fighting Jasper like with Amethyst attacking Pearl, but I was actually totally on Peri's side here. Where the hell does Jasper get off talking to her like that?

And I know Jasper has her issues, but those were still some very hurtful things to say, and I get the feeling she would have actually poofed her if Steven didn't intervene.
