ok i like that you put in the opening b/c no one does that, but you call that a reaction? if my kid and i were in this situation and i saw that i’d have a bigger reaction, or a reaction at all. and no one acknowledged ryuk in the opening?

i know ur tryna rush, but you're not putting any detail into the show. U need to put every sentence, every action to explain every reaction fully

Okay so I'm not a huge fan of rereading stories and even if I do reread something I normally wait awhile before doing so. However in the past week I've read this story four times because it is so interesting that I'm not getting sick of it like I normally do. So props to you for a great read

Okay so. THIS FIC IS GREAT. Especially for a Characters-Watch-Their-Own-Show fic. I’ve read plenty of those and usually not to completion because they’re all so boring. Either the author has a clear bias towards one character and the whole fic is meant to make the other characters sympathetic to that one character and nothing else, or the author just has the characters react to their show in the most bland of ways, and nothing else. The problem with most of these types of fics is that the plot is simply “These Characters See This Happen And React This Way and Then They See Something Else.” The characters see what’s happening, and feel emotion about it, but then they do nothing with said emotion, because it is outside of the narrow premise of the “story.” Your fic, however, did not have these problems. When the characters saw something that upset them, they had believable reactions, and then it changed them in the present. What they were being shown wasn’t just for the purpose of showing it, but it affected the plot. There was a plot, and a pretty damn alright one. Not the most intricate of plots, but the part where they had Sayu come in and talk to Light? That was good. The parts where Light is having to fight with himself because he can’t remember what he’s done but hates it anyways? Those were amazing. The only thing that was kind of OOC was how forgiving everyone was... but you did kinda explain it with the whole The Death Note Corrupts thing, so I’ll give it a pass. How you wrote these characters reacting to their and each other’s deaths was astounding. I’d kinda given up faith in there existing a decent Characters Watch Their Own Show fic, but you have restored it. Thanks for writing!

Loving this story so far, but just a suggestion. I’m not a huge fan of you having the characters quote Shakespeare. Perhaps because i never really liked Shakespeare all that much, perhaps because i don’t remember them ever once doing this in canon (although i could be remembering incorrectly). But to me, you having them quote these deep meaningful quotes just kind of highlights your lack of ability to write deep meaningful dialogue of your own. Not that your dialogue has been bad. Just that using those quotes just makes the fact that you aren’t a world-renown writer like Shakespeare all that more apparent. Then again, I’m not a fan of Shakespeare, so that could be it. On to chapter 24!
