I love this! The plot is really well thought of and I bet it can work with ONLY these two, but that's the beauty of Contestshipping. You have described the characters' feelings perfectly and even May's emotional wreckdown. For a person who reads only total Contestshipping fanfiction and reviews very less, this is actually awesome! Thank you for writing this. I am honestly confused between 'Seven' and 'Cause and Consequence' to select as an all-time favourite.

All 3 chapters were wonderful. Yes they can still be contest rivals but also true lovers. Roserade was disappointed but hey Drew was rightfully distracted beforehand. (Giggles)

I loved the story behind this, from the beginning, to that hot-yet-awkward middle-to the resolution at the end.

I am so thankful that you made consent a factor during their first time, and their awkwardness made it all the more realistic, especially the disastrous aftermath following the encounter.

Characterization was on-point for both of our lovely coordinators - loved the dialogue and thoughts and actions of the pair.

Oh wow! It's been a while since I've read a story that was just purely ContestShipping, so this was very refreshing. I enjoyed it very much. It's a very nice idea of how they could have gotten together, and it fits with their characters. I mean, it wouldn't be difficult for them to act like one little kiss didn't mean anything, and then a few more kisses, and before they knew it they would have established a new sort of normal, rivals-with-benefits... But this broke them out of that spiral, and I think the title fit very well, because nothing is without consequences. I would have had a hard time figuring out what was my favorite chapter. I liked the first chapter because May put Drew in his place, the second one because they made up, and the third one because it showed the fallout, and then how they made up again. And I liked the callback to the Lumiose Galettes at the end haha. Very nice story!

I think all the other reviewers got it right when they say they weren't prepared for something so emotionally taxing LOL ic certainly wasn't. The whole situation between May and Drew here was too relatable, I seriously felt for May so strongly oof. As always, writing and characterization were perfect and spot on!

OMG I had never read a Drew x May fanfic, this was my first, and it was just amazing! I was actually kinda scared to read smut regarding characters I loved in my childhood but this was so well put together! I applaud you for that. Thanks for the great read!

This was so so good. Your did a really good job pacing this story, the intimacy did not seem rushed to me at all nor did it seem like it took awhile to get to. The timing was just right to me! Seeing this update from you for a Contestshipping fanfic made my whole day. I didn't realize how much I missed and adored raving about this ship! And I can totally see this scenario happening if they keep pushing back their relationship status. Result: they'll eventually peak and explode in a beautiful, fumbling mess of unchecked hormones like this one. I'm also super happy about the aftermath of their session, cause they would totally stumble and mess up after something so emotionally intense and draining. Especially during the battle part (WHEN THEY GOT PAIRED UP I DIED LAUGHING LMAO). It's a realistic outcome that made me appreciate it even more - unlike something where they'd both become OP because of the power-up of lust and proceed to gaze at each other with bed-room eyes for the whole battle... Also love how Drew is so utterly flustered and floored when it comes to May and not the suave master of seduction like he's sometimes head-cannoned. I low-key loved when May called out his bs and spoke her mind in regards to "them". They're both such putty for each other ugh just get married already. Thank you for posting!
