What Jack said, about the universe getting its hands on Daniel, maybe Jonas wouldn't ever have to change. He could wind up always being able to see the world through untainted eyes. Thank you.

Loved it. Such a great story. You really managed to make the reader feel what jack and jonas were feeling. And I love jonas's little remark about wanting to see an elephant. You are right jonas and daniel are very similar but still different. I think if they spent more time together they could be great friends. I think jonas could help him regain a bit of the enthusiasm he lost after all he went through. Thanks for writing such a great jonas fic. That charater is one of my favourites.

I really love your story! l love the way Jack take care of Jonas and come to accepts him as an other menber of his team! Your describe really well the thougts of the two men.

I know this is old, but I thought I'd comment anyway. I remember how it felt with Jonas after Daniel had left. The first feeling of disdain, then tolerance, acceptance, and then the kid actually grew on me. I think you did a smashing job characterizing everyone. The pace of the story was good as well.

This is one of my favourite Jonas stories. I had a bit of a panic when the link I had saved went to Heliopolis but the story wasn't there... but I'm so glad I was able to track it down! Your Jack voice is very true and I like your treatment of the Replacement Issue. Excellent fic!

I really enjoyed this story. Aside from the over all quality of the piece, I'm also one of those fans who loves both Jonas and Daniel, so I was grateful to find yet another well-written piece featuring Jonas. I'm discovering that they are out there if I just look hard enough and am grateful that I stumbled across yours.

It's also nice to see a piece dealing more closely with Jack's transition from Daniel to Jonas. While the series did spend what I considered an adequate amount of time on it (it is a television series - they have to move on sometime), there still seemed to be a jump skipping said transition. Your portrayal of the shifting in Jack and Jonas' relationship was very beautifully written.

I usually try to give some constructive critism, but I honestly didn't find anything in here. Your characterizations were wonderfully done and spot on, in my opinion. The dialouge was realistic and flowed nicely. I also liked how you managed to create a situation in which Jack and Jonas would be forced to face this issue. There wasn't even any grammer or spelling errors for me to nit-pick. At least none that I saw.

All in all, a wonderful piece. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hey, I read this one a while back, and thought I'd drop a line. I honestly have to say this is one of the best SG-1 stories featuring Jonas I've managed to find anywhere. Being the Jonas-obsessed person I am, that's saying a lot, believe me. But more than that, telling the story through Jack's eyes, and getting the characters so dead on makes it exceptional. My favorite part was when Jack slipped and called him Daniel without thinking. Funny, yet strangely sad at the same time.

I really, really, REALLY loved this fic! can't say exactly why, it was just all so good and added up to a complete whole. Yeah, really nice. But (there's always a but) I-personally, anyone could disagree-thought the end . . . i dunno, dragged on kinda, Jack and Genereal Hammond's conversation seemed kinda superflouis.
But I need to stress that I REALLY liked it! really! (you get the point, right?)

Wonderful fic! All the characters sound remarkably like themselves, especially Jack. Seriously, how many times has he said "Dammit, Daniel!" without even really realizing it? The fact that Jonas *isn't* Daniel and that was hard on Jack, given his friendship with Daniel, was a little smoothed over in the actual series (except for a couple of screaming matches, I think). And, furthermore, Jack and Jonas are just so *cute* here. I love it. Short fic, but well done all the same!

I also like Jonas, even if I miss Daniel, and I think they are alike in many things. Jonas is always so enthusiastic and optimistic, like Daniel was in the beginning.

You characterize Jack very well, and I like how you show his feelings. That's exactly what I think he feels about the situation with Jonas.

The characters were perfectly in character, the dialogue was believeable, the plot was not lacking in any way and you provided a wonderful sense of closure.
