This epilogue was truly epic. I mean that ending was just perfect. I love how you write Kalagang.

Daya for the win! So glad she brought up the fact that Rajan had Kala in danger. At least Wolfgang can handle himself if they do run into trouble in Berlin. Hopefully her family will come around.

Loved the character growth with Wolfie at the beginning of this chapter. Always enjoy visuals of him swimming. The “scientific experiment” was hot!

After reading the update to your new AU story I started perusing your old fics and realized that I never finished this one! I reread the first 9 chapters and forgot how much I loved this version of how Kalagang faced the aftermath of the war against BPO. Did I mention how much I loathe what the special did to my Kalagang? Along with Capheus, but I digress.

Anyway, back to this chapter. The Will/Kala conversation was something I wish we’d had as well. It was spot on. Culture aside, how hard is it to turn down the heir to the company you work for?! Not to mention how inappropriate it was on his part. Add to that the cultural implications and she was manipulated and basically forced into the relationship. I think back to S1 at their engagement party where he pretty much confirms that it was manipulation and every time someone commented on her “love marriage” how she would visibly cringe.

I already posted a review on AO3, but I'm so enthusiastic I have to do it in here as well.
This is one of the the best fanfiction I've ever read ! Everyone is so much in character, Kala, her family, Wolfgang, Will... Thank you so much for giving to the series the end I wished for. There is no way Kala could stay with Rajan, she never loved him. Why that solution, or rather the lack thereof, whereas everything was in place for the ending almost everybody wanted ? But after all, everyone is free to imagine how the story would continue after the finale. Your story is what works for me. I planned to write one myself but I don't think I will now, considering that you did it for me.
What I particularly enjoyed was how you pointed out something that is incredibly tuned down in the show : that Rajan is in fact so much more of a criminal than Wolfgang, in spite of the latter's heists and the killing of several (very evil) men. I'm always astonished to see that most of the fans of the series keep seing Rajan as a good man, if an obstacle to Kala's true happiness, even after learning that for years he'd sold all over the world expired, and so potentially ineffective medicines. I suppose they are not aware of how many thousands of people had died and are still dying because of that practice. On this point, in your story, I particularly liked Kala's line that begins with "we don't sell aspirine". It explains perfectly well to your readers what crime Rajan committed.
The fact that you make him the only one responsible works for me as well. But even as an accomplice to Manendra, he would still be a horrid person. In the show, his attitude during his conversation with Kala, showing that he feels no guilt whatsoever (he only stopped because he saw he could lose Kala about that) is enough to condemn him thoroughly. I was particularly shocked by his words when he tries to reassure Kala about the potential use of these drugs in India, saying that no one he cares for would ever be harmed by these meds, as they are sent very far away ! Such a level of cynicism is just repulsive. Indeed Capheus should have punched the bastard through Kala ! I rather pitied Rajan before that scene, but after that, I hated the man and I could not wait to see him out of the picture. Alas...
How could people not react more strongly and not post hundreds of wishes to see him quickly ditched by Kala ? I suppose it's because they don't realize the consequences of what Rajan did, as I said, and also because they followed the writers' direction : they make Kala keep saying she doesn't want to hurt him (as if his feelings deserved any kind of consideration after that!) I was very disappointed in Kala at that point. And in the writers. What possessed them ? Why make a villain of Rajan and then make Kala stay with him ?We are supposed to be in a feel-good show !
By the way, I liked a lot as well, in your story, the way you explained, very plausibly, why she stayed with Rajan several other times, whereas we thought she had every reasons not to. In particular on the terrace in Positano, when he seems ready to free her. I could not find any reason for her to suddenly cling to him. But considering the traditional society in which Kala lives, family and social pressure concerning the consummation of a wedding can be a good reason for her flip-flopping, indeed. Kudos for thinking about that!
I hope so very much you will continue your story ! It's as if the show had not been cancelled, and went on with the story line I wanted. Thanks again !

As usual, this chapter was spot on! I swear it seems like whoever wrote that special hadn’t watched the first two seasons at all. Why would Capheus be so happy to see Rajan when they were in Paris after seeing his mother suffer all those years?! I’m so glad you are continuing this and can’t wait for the next chapter!
