Another good chapter. Your descriptions are very visceral, and I really like "blast shutters being hand-cranked" as an analogy. I'm a sucker for some good star wars metaphors.

Points of development I'm curious to see: more of Tali's personality. That is, what it would be when she's in a position to have one...

Also, if poor Kory meets her in-game fate. This is a grim Sith academy., and I'm not sure I like her chances.
